Highly unlikely the JCPOA and citizenship grants are related.  The President simply doesn't have that sort of power.

When did those limitations ever stop 44?

(but yes, file this as wait and see, not confirmation)

“Eighteen months after the evidence was recounted in the urgent memo, prosecution appears to have stalled for reasons not publicly explained. Imran is in court July 3 for a possible plea deal in the bank fraud case. Gohmert said the FBI has refused to accept evidence demonstrating alleged House misconduct, and some witnesses with first-hand knowledge say the bureau has not interviewed them.”

Of course the vaunted FBI is not politicized. No sir ree bob. No, not at all. Not one bit. They’re clinically impartial at all times. Pure as the wind-driven snow, they are.

He can't reach down and tell the GS-12s making those determinations who to grant citizenship to.

I mean, he can try.  The inertia of bureaucracy being as it is, it wouldn't get done for years, and would get so screwed up in communication that they would end up granting DACA protections to Japanese nationals or something.  No one has the power to make the bureaucracy move at any reasonable speed.

So the cash on pallets was a private contractor job?

In meetings this morning so I can only do a flash update for the time being:

*Awan hearing was INTERESTING today. Will be writing something up on it. His plea deal is... unexpected.

* As was Judge Sullivan demanding Flynn appear on the 10th with Mueller to hear the argument on delaying his sentencing (calling Flynn in for a procedural hearing is not unprecedented but it's also not normal).

* Brian Ross being fired from ABC has nothing to do with the Flynn story (if it was, he'd have been fired months ago), it's because Ross is Reporter#4 in the James Wolfe indictment (meaning, Ross is !@#$ed).

Will be writing up a bit more on each of these topics but there's a lot breaking on all of them at the moment.

(His plea deal gives him a pass for all other "non violent" crime committed before this... which means he either gave up something juicy - or there's much, much, more to come on this.)

Bits from the plea:

Dubious Fox News article appears to have sparked Trump attack on Obama

"Just out that Obama Administration granted citizenship, during the terrible Iran Deal negotiation, to 2,500 Iranians - including to government officials," Trump tweeted. "How big (and bad) is that?"

But after Fox News published its story, other outlets, primarily in the conservative media space, published similar stories. Those outlets included The Daily Mail, The Gateway Pundit, and TownHall.

The claims were also shared on Twitter by Fox News host Sean Hannity and frequent Fox guests David Clarke and Charlie Kirk.

On Tuesday morning, just hours before Trump's tweet, the story made its way to Fox News' airwaves on "Fox & Friends First," the network's early morning show. It also later aired on "America's Newsroom," a late-morning news program on Fox News.

"He had every opportunity to call people in his own Department of Homeland Security and State Department to ask whether or not this was true. And they would have told him it wasn't," Sullivan added. "Instead, he relies on Fox News. And the scary thing is that he's increasingly relying on sources like Fox News to get his intelligence rather than the professionals in his own government."

Prescott shared with CNN immigration data from the Department of Homeland Security which showed that the number of Iranians naturalized in the United States over the course of the Obama and Bush administrations was relatively consistent.

But CNN did nothing to refute this with facts. All they said was that it wasn't true. Why didn't they show the numbers if they had them?

I don't think citizenship data with a timeline is classified info. Hope those facts are published soon to settle this.
