jr1 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I hope he's back. He does pilates so will remain flexible despite age
Marty McFly Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Yes Please. His character is even better than his play, which is very solid. This. Couldnt have said it better. Bring this guy in, his heart for the game and his attitude are extremely valuable to a young team like buffalo with a losing mentality.
YoloinOhio Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 Lorenzo Alexander's agent is looking to get the OLB $5-$10 million per year on a short-term deal in free agency http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/02/agent_of_lorenzo_alexander_expects_bills_olb_to_make_5_to_10_million_per_year.html#incart_river_index
Dorkington Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 He fell off as the season went on, that's my only concern with him... he *is* getting up in age.
ndirish1978 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Mistake. HA! Fulfilling your troll quota for the day I see.
ndirish1978 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Preliminary discussions were likely "You want another year for very little?" "No, looking for 5-10" "Pass"
Jamie Nails Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Don't blame him in the least. This is the last dance and he's dressed up real purty from last season. Agree he tailed off and isn't worth that. Get Shaq going and draft a youngster to back up
FireChan Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 HA! Fulfilling your troll quota for the day I see. That was more than a month ago. Paying 1 year wonders is usually a mistake. See Spiller. Hell, see TT.
BaaadThingsMan Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 For a reasonable price i'd do it anyways
atlbillsfan1975 Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 (edited) Great guy who stepped up and filled a need and did so spectacularly. I don't think the Bills can afford what his agent says he wants. If no other team bites, bring him back on a deal with a solid base, maybe $2 mil with incentives that could reach $4-$5mil for playing time, production. That's if he wants to come back to Buffalo. Half the teams would give him the deal I proposed. Edited February 15, 2017 by atlbillsfan1975
YoloinOhio Posted February 15, 2017 Author Posted February 15, 2017 He has said he would prefer to stay in Buffalo and he's tired of moving his family around. But I think an incentive-laden deal is the right move as well. I don't think he will get 5 mill gtd anywhere at his age and with just one year of big production.

No way that any NFL team will give him that much.
ndirish1978 Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 That said, I would love to see him back. He is a leader and seems like a great guy. He's the type of person you are happy to have in the community and in the locker room.
YoloinOhio Posted February 15, 2017 Author Posted February 15, 2017 I would love to have him back too! His attitude and work ethic should be emulated.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 (edited) He's a natural fit for whichever highschool runs the vaunted Ryan defense Seriously though, I'm sure they can fit him in somewhere Edited February 15, 2017 by Over 28 years of fanhood
JoeF Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Richie set the example -- taking a lot less than he could make elsewhere to stick around. That's the standard now for an aging vet. I could see something like a $3 million signing bonus and base salaries of $2 million per for two years plus incentives to get another $500,000-750,000 a year based on performance.

Dragonborn10 Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Let him walk. He wore down as the year went on. He will be a situational pass rusher. He will not be a staritng DE nor starting OLB. He is OLD. They can sign three guys in their twenties to pay LB and ST's for less than what he is asking. They have gaping holes in the secondary and need to spend their FA dollars at LB, DB, S, and WR. Keep Gilmore and try to keep Z. Brown. I think Z. Brown will get overpaid elsewhere.
