stevewin Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 If this does not work out, will Whaley and his people point to the positioning of the Pegulas and Whaley relative to McDermott to attempt to argue that McDermott was not really his hire but the Pegulas forced Sean on Whaley. Someone should ask Doug if he and Sean finish each other's sentences. Just having some fun. Go Bills! 26CornerBlitz Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 Bills Today: McDermott Earned His Stripes Buffalo named its 20th head coach Wednesday, and by all accounts it's a position he rightfully earned after spending 18 years in the NFL.
GG Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Bills Today: McDermott Earned His Stripes Imagine a Bills beat reporter giving a glowing exit interview to a Bills coordinator?

Doc Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Are we not a dumpster fire any more? Wow. That was a quick burn. I thought for sure we'd be hiring a high school coach based on how pathetic everyone thinks we are. Amazing, idn't it?
Marty McFly Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 some of you are wayyyyy too sensitive. Its an internet message board. get real!

At least his gut wont have refs throwing flags for the coach being on the field
YoloinOhio Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Anybody notice this guy is in good shape? At least his gut wont have refs throwing flags for the coach being on the fieldyes and it's a sign of being disciplined. Lap band surgery is not.
Peter Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Anybody notice this guy is in good shape? At least his gut wont have refs throwing flags for the coach being on the field I had no problem with the "shape" of the prior HC and his brother when it comes to coaching. Having said that, I thought that Terry's comments re McDermott and wrestling may have revealed a view (on his part) that the fitness of the HC was indicative of their discipline. While there may be something to that, I also believe that being an NFL coach is among the most unhealthy jobs given the amount of time and stress involved.

He was talking about the discipline it takes to drive yourself. That was crustal clear, IMO. You don't think he thinks of himself as being disciplined and driven? He's no body builder.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 MCDERMOTT: 'HE'S A DETAILED, DISCIPLINE-ORIENTED GUY' (2:05) NFL Network's Charley Casserly discusses the Buffalo Bills' decision to hire Sean McDermott as head coach.
