zow2 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 (edited) I don't know anything about McDermott. Is he a disciplinarian, tough guy? Will the offense regress if they hire a defensive guy? I still want my 25 pts per game on O Edited January 11, 2017 by zow2

gonzo1105 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 not sexy but we don't that. Don't like the idea of Bree's tbh
What a Tuel Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 not sexy but we don't that. Don't like the idea of Bree's tbh Really depends on the contract but ill take a 38 year old Brees over all other prospects.
Reed83HOF Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Well might as well finish this up in here too: Sal Capaccio @SalSports 19s20 seconds ago If Sean McDermott is new Bills HC, and it appears things are headed that way at the moment, keep hearing Mike McCoy could join him as OC.
Heitz Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I thought this was a good article on McDermott: http://www.espn.com/blog/carolina-panthers/post/_/id/21796/two-truths-and-a-lie-make-sean-mcdermott-a-great-defensive-coordinator He's our guy - LET'S GO! Go Bills!
Kirby Jackson Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I hate to be a Debbie Downer but McDermott doesn't do much for me. I hope that I'm wrong. I do like the McCoy hire though.

26CornerBlitz Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 McCoy shouldn't have gotten canned IMO. Who would've thought we got the 2 McCoy's... The team wasn't going anywhere under his leadership.
NoSaint Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I wouldn't be shocked if Brees isn't back in NOLA. They've tried their best to build around him and play out his career but it's not working. He's an icon here so it will be controversial but possible. They have some good young talent now so maybe that changes things but they had 25% in dead cap space. They may decide to focus on the rebuild. By the time that they are ready to win he will be 40. Don't underestimate Monos' ties in New Orleans either. I'm not saying that it is likely but it's possible that the Saints and Brees separate. Not buying it-- they can hit free agency hard, will be drafting high and Brees has a ton of ties established here. They are gearing up for the run right now. They also weren't as bad as many thought despite all that. Beat every losing team on the schedule plus Seattle. Worst record they lost to was Tampa bay. Like 3 special teams plays away from being contenders still. And SP finally fired his friends on the staff.
YoloinOhio Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 McCoy shouldn't have gotten canned IMO. Who would've thought we got the 2 McCoy's... GM didn't want to fire him. Owners did it anyway. I thought he was flawed as a HC. But he did some things well. Btw he punts a lot and loves FGs.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 @john_wawrow By the way, things on #Bills front are "closer," but not yet "close." McDermott. This is not a "done deal."
Reed83HOF Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 The team wasn't going anywhere under his leadership. Not disagreeing; just saying the 150 injuries the last couple years on the team really hurt them...
26CornerBlitz Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 Not disagreeing; just saying the 150 injuries the last couple years on the team really hurt them... Yep. They had more than their share of injuries to key players.

Like 3 special teams plays away from being contenders still. And SP finally fired his friends on the staff. Yeah, I think that the young talent developing is enough for them to gear up for a run. They are probably a little closer than they thought but if they are still 3 years away they may consider it. Denver or Houston would be more likely though. To be clear, I don't think it's likely (less than 10% & maybe less than 5%) but not impossible. I thought that it was impossible 2 years ago. I actually think Gilmore ends up here.
YoloinOhio Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 (edited) @tompelissero There are very positive talks between the #Bills and Sean McDermott (as @viccarucci said) but still issues to sort out, source says. #issues #minifridge Edited January 11, 2017 by YoloinOhio

gonzo1105 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Really depends on the contract but ill take a 38 year old Brees over all other prospects. It's not so much an age thing. Brees doesn't have a strong arm and has not been a good QB outside of domes the last couple years
Kirby Jackson Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 It's not so much an age thing. Brees doesn't have a strong arm and has not been a good QB outside of domes the last couple yearsYou haven't been watching them. He is coming off his 5th 5,000 yard season. There have been 4 other such seasons by every other QB combined in NFL history!! This may have been his best year.
Reed83HOF Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Michael Silver @MikeSilver 2m2 minutes ago I am told the Bills have not yet made a final decision on their head coaching hire
