Hapless Bills Fan Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Impossible because they are ending their fake search per Vic Wait, what did I miss?
26CornerBlitz Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 What are the chances Vic gets this right? @viccarucci Won't be a shock if the #Bills end HC "search" today after interviewing Anthony Lynn. Guess there are no more 2nd thoughts? Wait, what did I miss?
Malazan Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Wait, what did I miss? a fake search apparently. Also, Whaley was was the 2nd shooter.
Billschinatown Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Not a puppet, not a puppet. You're a puppet! @onsidesnick @MikeSilver your not paying close attention are you? Whaley wants a puppet @MikeSilver Michael Silver Retweeted Nick Todaro I am talking to the people in charge, fool #your
Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 I don't know who people think is out there who would beyond maybe Coughlin? There are no big fish Head Coaches on the market. I think the Bills are going to hire a defensive mind who has experience running a successful 4-3 defense or they will hire Lynn and require him to bring a 4-3 coordinator with him. Whaley will then live and die as a GM by whether that works. But give me this rather than the haphazard shambles that was the last coaching search. Schwartz, Bradley any other previous head coach. It's obvious he is bringing coaches he can control.
Wayne Arnold Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Schwartz, Bradley any other previous head coach. It's obvious he is bringing coaches he can control. Why do you say that?
BillnutinHouston Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 There is a definite theme.... Whaley wants a guy who runs a 4-3. Link?
Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Why do you say that? coaches with NO HC experience, plus the reports of his fears of Coughlin.
purple haze Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 or guys that wont threaten his job security. If whomever he hires doesn't win that will threaten his job security. So where are you going with your narrative?
Wayne Arnold Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 coaches with NO HC experience, plus the reports of his fears of Coughlin. So coaches with no head coaching experience can be "controlled"? Why do you think Whaley needs to control anyone?
purple haze Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Schwartz, Bradley any other previous head coach. It's obvious he is bringing coaches he can control. No one is interviewing Schwartz for a HC position at this point. Maybe he's not well thought of in that position around the league? And Bradley who just got fired? Not that Bradley...
YoloinOhio Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 No one is interviewing Schwartz for a HC position at this point. Maybe he's not well thought of in that position around the league? And Bradley who just got fired? Not that Bradley...correct, the worst NFL HC of all time by winning percentage. No one puts Bradley in a corner!
26CornerBlitz Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 If whomever he hires doesn't win that will threaten his job security. So where are you going with your narrative? The entire premise is pretty ridiculous IMO. If Whaley doesn't find a highly qualified coach who can assemble an excellent staff, he's signing his own eventual death warrant. The line of reasoning makes absolutely no sense at all.
MDH Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 or guys that wont threaten his job security. I keep hearing this and it's just crazy. Only one thing will effect his job security - lack of success. He's not going to hire somebody who he feels is an inferior coach because he can impose his will on him. He might miss on the coach but he's going to hire the guy he feels is going to put up wins, period. So if that's what you mean by "threaten his job security" then you're right.

If Whaley doesn't find a highly qualified coach who can assemble an excellent staff, he's signing his own eventual death warrant. The line of reasoning makes absolutely no sense at all. if they fire him next week he will get paid through the end of his contract......he's going to pick the best coach he can.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 if they fire him next week he will get paid through the end of his contract......he's going to pick the best coach he can. You miss the point obviously.
Augie Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 If the Bills hire Richard, I would bet anything that the number of missed tackles is reduced significantly. You mean he's learned the pee-wee league secret of wrapping up?
