Fadingpain Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Anyone want to state the over/under on noun/verb agreement errors coming from Whaley? I'd set it at 5.
Peter Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Anyone want to state the over/under on noun/verb agreement errors coming from Whaley? I'd set it at 5. This would be an interesting drinking game. We could also add fillers like mmm or ummm etc.
Fadingpain Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 "We are going to evaluate TT with the next head coach and let the information make the decision." Yep, he'll say something like that.
Wayne Arnold Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 This would be an interesting drinking game. We could also add fillers like mmm or ummm etc. If you consider death by alcohol poisoning interesting.
Peter Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 If you consider death by alcohol poisoning interesting. You are correct. It definitely should not be shots. We probably would need an IV drip and medical assistance at the ready.
jeffismagic Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Whaley will say nothing. The local media will explode and Jerry Sullivan already wrote his article on the presser.
RevWarRifleman Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 in case any of you miss the presser...here are some are Whaley's remarks: we are obviously disappointed with the outcome of our season. our entire focus will be on getting to the second season of playoffs. we will conduct an exhaustive search for a new head coach. no decision has been made on the future of tyrod taylor. we are going to develop our draft board like we always do. research every position from top to bottom. we are in full evaluation mode regarding all of our free agents. we are going to leave all options on the table. This is it. No need to tune in. We have 99.9% of the "press conference" right here! The same old hash from the last 17 yrs. That's what the "conference" will be. Thanks papa. Well done.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 @MatthewFairburn Doug Whaley says he speaks for ownership and the team president. Says ownership issued a statement on the firing of Rex Ryan. @JoeBuscaglia #Bills GM Doug Whaley: "I speak for ownership and the team president." @MatthewFairburn Doug Whaley said the decision to fire Rex Ryan was one made between Terry Pegula and Rex Ryan. He wasn't involved. @JoeBuscaglia #Bills GM Doug Whaley: "I have a healthy respect and working relationship with both" Doug Marrone and Rex Ryan
Peter Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Why aren't any of these guys asking him what he recommended regarding Rex?
Fadingpain Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Jim Monos will work with Whaley on HC search.
Wayne Cubed Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Why aren't any of these guys asking him what he recommended regarding Rex? They did. He doesn't want to comment about the past.
Coach Tuesday Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 The GM had no input into the decision to fire the coach?
26CornerBlitz Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 @SalSports "Rex was a Bills hire. I was a part of it," says Whaley, but won't go into specifics or answer if it "was his guy" @buffalobills On the current search: "I lead the head coaching search. Pegulas make the final call." On hiring Rex: "It was a Bills hire by committee."
Peter Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 They did. He doesn't want to comment about the past. I heard Fairburn ask about the hire What about the firing?
FireChan Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 I heard Fairburn ask about the hire What about the firing? He said he wasn't privy.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 @ChrisBrownBills Whaley- understand gravity of head coaching search. I have faith in myself. #Bills @NickVeronica Doug Whaley says Russ Brandon won't be involved in the coaching search. #Bills
bananathumb Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Ask him about his scouting staff. Any changes?
Wayne Cubed Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 The GM had no input into the decision to fire the coach? I heard Fairburn ask about the hire What about the firing? He said he had nothing to do with it. And why would he, according to the structure Rex reported directly to Pegula. Pegula would have to do the firing.
