Virgil Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Jay Glazer reporting the team could decide to part ways with him. Considering what he's done with the talent there, I would absolutely bring him in for an interview. The only way it makes sense to fire him is if he was the main reason behind the Brock signing, but I don't feel like that can be right.
Dragonborn10 Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Only legit if he is the guy that wanted Osweiler.
/dev/null Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 I'd take him in a heartbeat Unfortunately if O'Brien hit the market he will be the top candidate for every opening

He hasn't had much to work with at QB but has made the playoffs twice, granted in a very weak division, but still...Pete Caroll won the division at 7-9 once in Seattle... The only thing I can think of is they feel he isn't getting enough out of Osweiler and they feel he is likely to bench him for the remainder of the time he is there after they invested so much money... I'd bet it's about Osweiler..seems he has pulled the plug on him, but the team can't just walk away from the investment made and if he is refusing to try and develop him further, that creates an organizational push pull, especially since he gave his blessing to getting Osweiler in the first place... They brought Osweiler in to be the QB, if he isn't with that anymore then it's probably best for both sides if he leaves. Edited January 1, 2017 by matter2003

Very Shanahan-esqe with him wanting Cousins over 2nd overall RG3 Edited January 1, 2017 by Virgil
YoloinOhio Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 He has control over the 53 so I'd guess he had a lot to do with decisions on the QB position. Never been a fan of his going back to his PSU days. But he's done a decent job.
Big Turk Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Very Shanahan-esqe with him wanting Cousins over 2nd overall RG3 He doesn't have a Cousins on the roster, that's the problem...Savage isn't anywhere close to that level...
Virgil Posted January 1, 2017 Author Posted January 1, 2017 He doesn't have a Cousins on the roster, that's the problem...Savage isn't anywhere close to that level... True. More about not wanting to play the guy that the GM paid a lot to get
Reed83HOF Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 John DiTullio @JohnDitullio 3m3 minutes ago Keep an eye on Bill Obrien. Jay Glazer reporting O'Brien and Texans could be parting. O'Brien to Buffalo makes so much sense

John from Riverside Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 why would we take him in heartbeat You guys know we beat his team every time we play them right?

Reed83HOF Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 why? Btw he's Marrone's BFF I have no clue....

Rumblinstumblin Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 (edited) O'Brien is trash. I am a Bills and Texans fan Edited January 2, 2017 by mimisnowball
KD in CA Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Yet another playoff coach Bills fans can turn their noses up at. Classic.
snafu Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Not a fan of O'Brien. I think his offense is no good and he's making personnel decisions (not a Whaley fit). No thanks.
