Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports the Bills made the decision to move on from Tyrod Taylor (groin) "weeks ago."

Taylor has been benched for Week 17 and might need groin surgery despite being left off the final injury report. That surgery could complicate the Bills' plan to move on as Taylor's contract calls for a guaranteed $30.75 million if he cannot pass a physical by the start of the new league year. This saga should dominate the Rotoworld headlines in the early part of 2017.
From twitter, Bills were aware of Tyrod's groin situation for a few weeks. There's strong sense he will need surgery. Decision to move on made weeks ago
The guy was right that the Bills (Doug Whaley) wanted to replace Tyrod Taylor with Cardale Jones and fire Rex Ryan after the Steelers game.

According to NFL sources, coach Rex Ryan and General Manager Doug Whaley are at odds over the future of quarterback Tyrod Taylor. Ryan wants Taylor to remain the Bills' starter for the balance of this season and beyond, the sources said, while Whaley would like to see rookie Cardale Jones start the final three games after Sunday's clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

"CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported Sunday that the Bills could fire Ryan as early as Monday, depending on the outcome of the Pittsburgh game."

Now cooler heads prevailed to see if the Bills would actually make the playoffs this season and when they didn't beat Miami they fired Bills HC Rex Ryan. Now we learn that Tyrod practiced this week but EJ will get the start against the Jets.

Does this mean the team is moving on from Tyrod Taylor? About the most exciting QB the Bills have had since Doug Flutie! You don't get rid of a playmaker like Tayor, you build around him!

Where is Leroi on all this?

On another note. So, Doug Whaley is leading the "coaching search" for the next Buffalo Bills HC. Is this anything like Russ Brandon leading the past coaching searches and then have a consensus on who they all like? Because the last time this group of people decided on a head coach they 100% didn't do their proper homework on the guy and hired a 4-12 silver-tongued bum. They all bought into his sob story of how the Jets GM tried to get him fired by not giving him the players needed. (He was probably doing the very same thing again to the owners this year)

Clearly, nobody in the Bills FO watched Rex Ryan's 2014 NY Jets 4-12 team and how he looked so lost on the sidelines and lost the players on that team! So, one can only think that the same people will make the same mistakes with this next head coaching hire.

@jchenelly

The #Bills have absolutely not made a decision about Tyrod Taylor. The team is preparing financially as if he'll be with them next season.

Oh wow...interesting

The contradictions themselves should have alerted the reader to the utter full of schit nature of this "report."

Perhaps they decided he's not their future franchise QB, and that they are going to try and draft one or trade for one.

That does not mean that they have decided they are going to go into next season without him.

Ah, the soothing voice of reason in a sea of cluelessness.
