YoloinOhio Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 (edited) I hadn't heard about this but I guess there has been speculation that he may step away from the Broncos HC position. Could get interesting with his staff including Wade? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/12/31/gary-kubiak-does-nothing-to-quell-rumors-of-possible-resignation/ Edited January 1, 2017 by YoloinOhio
CardinalScotts Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 kyle shanny will move right in......should hire wade but they wont

dezertbill Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 The ship had sailed on Wade Phillips as HC. Keep him the highest paid D.C. Shanny would be a perfect fit. He's going to be a great HC. Too. Bad it won't be with the Bills.

He's going to be a great HC. Too. Bad it won't be with the Bills. i was thinking more along the lines of Wade being available as a DC. I have no interest in him as a HC and from his past comments I don't think he would be interested either.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Wade's contract is up at the end of the season so it's possible the new HC would bring his own staff I imagine if they hire Shanahan, he would insist on it. And Denver's D, while good, has been porous against the run this season, not the dominating force it was last year that would compel them to keep him. But if Wade wants to look for a job, I wonder if he has any connection to Anthony Lynn?
Cripple Creek Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 kyle shanny will move right in......should hire wade but they wont If you mean as a HC, no. He is great at what he is currently doing. As a HC he has underwhelmed. Let him do what he does best. Just not #1 material IMO.
BuffaloFan68 Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Wow, if we could keep A-Lynn & bring back Wade we would be all set!!!!! Go Bills!!!!!
MAJBobby Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 If your thinking about retirement you are retired
John from Riverside Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 if we could swoop in and get Wade to be our DC I would be doing cartwheels..... Wade is everything in a DC that you would want in RR as a defensive genious
White Linen Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 i was thinking more along the lines of Wade being available as a DC. I have no interest in him as a HC and from his past comments I don't think he would be interested either. Even though his record as a HC is extremely impressive?
NastyNateSoldiers Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Lynn & Wade perfect combo. Pegs give em whatever he wants a spot on the wall of fame some big money a mansion on the north side. Whatever it takes get it done.
YoloinOhio Posted January 1, 2017 Author Posted January 1, 2017 (edited) @adamschefter And here it goes: With his family concerned about his health, Gary Kubiak likely is stepping down as Broncos' HC, league sources tell ESPN. And so today is likely going to be Gary Kubiak's final game as Broncos HC, league sources have told ESPN. @albertbreer On Kubiak: Two years ago, he'd found contentment as Ravens OC. Wasn't sure he wanted stress of being a HC again. Then, his dream job opened. My feeling was the chance to work in Denver with Elway again, coach Manning was too much for Kubiak to pass up. Now, his legacy is secure. As I understand it, Kubiak never lost the love of coaching, which is why he loved Baltimore. All that went with being a HC was the issue. @rapsheet Had the #Broncos not brought in Gary Kubiak 2 years ago, they likely wouldve hired now-#Dolphins DC Vance Joseph. Keep an eye on him in DEN Edited January 1, 2017 by YoloinOhio
Wayne Cubed Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 I wonder what effect that would have on TT going there now. I doubt Elway throws a ton of money at TT if Kubiak isn't there and it's someone like Vance Joseph.
YoloinOhio Posted January 1, 2017 Author Posted January 1, 2017 I wonder if he would go back to being an OC?
YoloinOhio Posted January 1, 2017 Author Posted January 1, 2017 @jayglazer Kubiak didn't let on to his future to his players or staff during team mtg. Changes coming tho, wade Phillips never signed his extension
Nihilarian Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 kyle shanny will move right in......should hire wade but they wont I'll agree. Elway will hire Kyle in a heartbeat after Kubiak retires.
YoloinOhio Posted January 1, 2017 Author Posted January 1, 2017 @jasoncoleBR Kubiak has been thinking about retiring since getting sick earlier this season. But push by Elway for staff changes has added stress.
