Puhonix Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 Wow, are you serious??? All of you would pass on Randy Moss for dirt cheap?...if moss could be had for 2-3mil per season, i'd be all over that like white on rice...even with a bad character, theres no questioning the guy has got talent... 254734 What about the character of the Bills? The integrity of the team?

Guys like Moss are poison to a team. I don't care how much freakin' "potential" he has. There's only one thing Randy Moss cares about...Randy Moss! I'll pass. PTR
LabattBlue Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 The guys has not been in training for the two years he's been out of football and isn't on the same level as the other players at the combine because of that. This guy isn't coming off an injury, he's coming of a period of inactivity and once he's back in football he'll be the back he was in college and he was second only to McGahee when he was in college. While the safer pick would be a guy like Cedric Houston of Tennessee (Who is a comparable RB) I'd be happy to draft this kid in the 3rd round but I'd be ECSTATIC to grab him in the 4th. Does anyone know what the Shelton kid ran (The RB from Louisville)? 254343 While you may not be bothered by Clarett's turtle like times, he certainly is..... "It's a rough day," said Clarett, who has not played in a game since Ohio State claimed the 2003 national championship. "I prepared 20 times harder than a year ago. I worked to get ready for this day. To totally bust it ... well, it's frustrating." While he still has time to prepare for a personal workout on March 8, there is now some sense that Clarett, who earlier this week seemed enthused about another chance to prove himself to talent evaluators, might go undrafted. Even with a good performance, he might have been only a middle-round selection, particularly given his long layoff. Clarett took part in some of the early drills during the running back session at the RCA Dome. After running his 40s, he pulled on his sweatshirt and opted not to finish the rest of the drills. When he appeared in an interview with the NFL Network after the poor times, Clarett appeared to be distraught at his performance.
ajzepp Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 Well I'm impressed by the responses I'm getting, cause I'm sure the same question posed about character would get different responses from different teams, with the Raiders of course being the lowest, as they would take anything to win. 254733 Yeah, the Bills just wouldn't be a good fit for players like Lawrence Phillips, Cecil Collins, Alonzo Spellman, etc.......
Puhonix Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 Yeah, the Bills just wouldn't be a good fit for players like Lawrence Phillips, Cecil Collins, Alonzo Spellman, etc....... 254903 Ok, another serious question for the group: Again, I'm talking about character, so which team in the NFL is best known for good, and best known for bad character. I imagine Dallas and Oakland getting votes for bad... but what about the good?

I imagine Dallas and Oakland getting votes for bad... but what about the good? 254942 As much as I hate to say it, I think NE has to be given high marks for players of high quality. Bob Kraft is on record for saying that if he had to have thugs to win in the NFL, he'd rather just do something else. I don't blame him. Even a player like Rodney Harrison, as much as Bills fans (myself included) can't stand the guy, he's a very good team player. Having lived in Philly for four years, I also think that the Eagles are probably more cognizant of a player's character than a lot of teams. Just my $.02
