swnybillsfan Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 very strange notion here, but give it a thought? with a new coach coming in with a new staff and possibly a new philosophy, is there any way that buffalo could or would try to trade tyrod IF...and i say IF...they are determined to move on from their present qb? for all of his shortcomings, he is a talented football player. and all nfl coaches have tremendous egos, maybe there is a team out there that sees tyrod's extension as something worth trading for? could ya? would ya?
MAJBobby Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Yep they could even before the option is picked up if they wanted. And if i can get a 1st and 2nd I probably would do it.
NoSaint Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) I mentioned it in another thread but I think you could potentially find a situation where he's a scheme fit if the new coach doesn't like him. He's good not great but cheap and a bandaid answer. Denver maybe. Amused bobby wants a 1&2 but cut him otherwise Edited December 28, 2016 by NoSaint
bobobonators Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Yep they could even before the option is picked up if they wanted. And if i can get a 1st and 2nd I probably would do it. You hate TT but you want a 1st and 2nd?
John from Riverside Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Yep they could even before the option is picked up if they wanted. And if i can get a 1st and 2nd I probably would do it. So would I
bobobonators Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 As is known, im big on TT for THIS offense but i realistically dont see anyone giving up more than a 3rd for TT.
K D Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 They'd be lucky to get a T-Mobile phone for T-Mobile. They MIGHT get a 7th if some desperate team doesn't want to try and bid for him on the open market knowing that things could get crazy like with Osweiller
The Tomcat Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I could see a team trading for him....a 2nd would do it and Cleveland has 2 picks in the 1st and 2nd. Anything would be better then cutting him loose for free?
MAJBobby Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 You hate TT but you want a 1st and 2nd? Called value if i can get it i do it. I have softened my stance in the past couple days on picking up the option
nucci Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Yep they could even before the option is picked up if they wanted. And if i can get a 1st and 2nd I probably would do it. I would trade almost anyone on the roster if I can get a 1st and 2nd but it's not realistic
John from Riverside Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Called value if i can get it i do it. I have softened my stance in the past couple days on picking up the option Good to see....its the right call I would still trade him for a 1st round pick
bobobonators Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Called value if i can get it i do it. I have softened my stance in the past couple days on picking up the option Well i get the value part. I would trade shady for a 1st and a 2nd too. Just not realistic imo.
MAJBobby Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I would trade almost anyone on the roster if I can get a 1st and 2nd but it's not realistic Ok a 1st and a conditional i still would donit
bobobonators Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Simplest solution is to pick up the option. Continue to develop Cardale. Everyone wins: the bills offense and Whaley (since Cardale is his pick). Improve defense.
H2o Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I'd cut bait with Tyrod for a single 3rd, but no one is trading for a QB they believe will be cut before the new league year begins anyway.
MAJBobby Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I think the lowest I would take is a matt Schaub deal. Two 2nds (equivalent could be a roster player or player and a pick) but the value i think right now is probably two 2nds. And to clarify my softened stance on the option. I will be good with whatever the HC decides (but reserve right to be critical of play again in 2018) Of course unless that HC is Patricia because i made a promise if thats the hire i would not be critical of TT for 1 year.
John from Riverside Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Im still drafting a qb this year......I wonder if Watson falls to us
MAJBobby Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I'd cut bait with Tyrod for a single 3rd, but no one is trading for a QB they believe will be cut before the new league year begins anyway. I dont think anyone believes that in the NFL circles right now. Specially if new coach comes out in support of Tyrod (exactly what they should do anyway if they plan on not picking up option) Im still drafting a qb this year......I wonder if Watson falls to us Depends on his playoff performance. But right now dont think he does.

Specially if new coach comes out in support of Tyrod (exactly what they should do anyway if they plan on not picking up option) Teams aren't stupid and Matt Millen isn't a GM anywhere. No one will make ANY kind of offer for Tyrod before the new league year begins IF at all.

Trade Contracts too And Taylors contract actually isnt bad if a team really likes him. 1st for Trent Richardson Edited December 28, 2016 by MAJBobby
