26CornerBlitz Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 @SalSports EJ Manuel will be the starting QB Sunday, confirmed by Anthony Lynn. Says it was a "business decision." @thadbrown7 Anthony Lynn calls losing good friend Rex Ryan challenging. EJ Manuel will be starter Sunday. @MatthewFairburn Anthony Lynn won't say whether Cardale Jones will be active. Says there's a chance all three quarterbacks will be active. @MatthewFairburn Anthony Lynn said it would be interesting to have Tyrod Taylor for an offseason to see what he can do.
YoloinOhio Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Seemed like he had Cardale on his mind - lol at the Freudian slip
26CornerBlitz Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 @MarkLud12 Lynn mentioned Tyrod Taylor's oft-discussed issues with throwing the ball down the middle of the field as an area for improvement @PrescottRossi Lynn: "I don't want a player to be evaluated from one game, just like how I don't want to be evaluated for one game." @PrescottRossi Lynn on Manuel: "We don't rely on our QBs to run the football, but if he chooses to keep it on a couple of read plays, that's fine." @RapSheet This was interesting. #Bills coach Anthony Lynn says it would be good to have Tyrod Taylor for an offseason. Not cutting him loose yet. @SalSports Lynn: "Obviousy with Rex being the head coach and my friend I'd love to have seen him get more time. But this is a business." @JaySkurski Lynn says Rex informed him of his firing. "He gave me his blessings." #Bills
YoloinOhio Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) He has less patience for the media than Rex did. In a good way. Edited December 28, 2016 by YoloinOhio
26CornerBlitz Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 @JaySkurski Lynn says his conversation with Rex Ryan was "private" and that he doesn't want to get too deep into it. #Bills @SalSports On punting in OT, Lynn: "The head coach is going to make the call and we're going to back our head coach" @SalSports Tyrod was "disappointed. He's a competitor. He wants to play. He understands." - Lynn
Coach Tuesday Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Lynn on EJ - "it was our decision" Lynn on EJ five minutes later - "I wasn't in the room when the decision was made" OOOOF
26CornerBlitz Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 @PrescottRossi Lynn says he has not talked with the Pegulas about future meetings/interviews for the permanent head coaching gig.
bobobonators Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Lynn on EJ - "it was our decision" Lynn on EJ five minutes later - "I wasn't in the room when the decision was made" OOOOF Clearly EJ is a Whaley decision. 1000000000% clear
Coach Tuesday Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Clearly EJ is a Whaley decision. 1000000000% clear Obviously - but why do they dangle their interim HC out there and make him own that decision?
WEATHER DOT COM Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Lynn on EJ - "it was our decision" Lynn on EJ five minutes later - "I wasn't in the room when the decision was made" OOOOF He then went on to throw Doug under the bus. Does anyone enjoy working for that slimeball?
26CornerBlitz Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 @PrescottRossi The Bills front office is throwing Lynn to the wolves. The silence from Pegulas, Brandon, Whaley is something. @SalSports Lynn: "I don't deal with Doug Whaley a lot, but relationship has been good."
plenzmd1 Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Obviously - but why do they dangle their interim HC out there and make him own that decision? Yep, and Sully going to kill him on it...cant believe Sully let it drop
John from Riverside Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Lynn need to learn to play his cards closer to his chest.....these reporters are !@#$s
Acantha Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Lynn on EJ - "it was our decision" Lynn on EJ five minutes later - "I wasn't in the room when the decision was made" OOOOF What I heard him say was that the decision to sit Tyrod was not his, but the decision to start EJ over Cardale was everyone's decision.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 @viccarucci Lynn: "I'm not going to say Rex is not detail-oriented or doesn't hold players accountable." But adds: "We were raised by different mamas."
YoloinOhio Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Yep, and Sully going to kill him on it...cant believe Sully let it dropit was obvious that Lynn wasn't going to answer the question and said he doesn't speak for them
Coach Tuesday Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Lynn need to learn to play his cards closer to his chest.....these reporters are !@#$s No, the reporters were asking tough questions and he was unprepared and bungled his answers. And the FO are jerks for putting him in this position.
jeffismagic Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 That was painful. Press trying to get Lynn to throw Rex under the bus. Lynn didn't take the bait. This is only going to make the Buffalo News writers more angry.
YoloinOhio Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 What I heard him say was that the decision to sit Tyrod was not his, but the decision to start EJ over Cardale was everyone's decision.correct - it was two different questions
bobobonators Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 The press conference was pretty brutal. I dont care though as long as he can coach the offense. Honestly you can tell that he was not comfortable talking about the EJ/TT thing. He wanted to say: "these clowns above me are telling me who to start, talk to them about it"
