Murf is a tough listen, as all he does is make excuses for the organization. Like Rome is burning and murf is standing there saying "oh, its ok folks, everythings gonna be alright"

I don't know, I hear this all the time and not sure I agree. I've heard way more homers for other radio guys out there. Nobody wants to listen to guys who are always negative and I feel Murph does a pretty good job balancing criticism versus making excuses for the team. People need to remember he's in the building everyday around the team and staff. If he just trashes the team every chance he gets it'll probably be harder for him to get player/coach interviews and he probably wouldn't have a job very long if he did this. Not saying I agree with everything he says, but feel he's pretty realistic and for the most part calls it how he sees it.

Some people love being miserable. Sully is the voice of the miserable. Guess what I do when the Bills lose or do something I hate? I don't pay attention to them.

The people who call radio shows to whine after losses or get people fired are weird to me. Find something better to do with your time.

Colin Cowherd is usually an idiot, but he has a great bit about the people that call into sports radio shows. He calls them "the wrong guy", the guy who has made such wrong choices in his life that he has the time to sit around on hold in the middle of the day just to spout some wrong opinion about grown men who smash into each other.

For all the grief that people give hosts like Schoop and Bulldog, the callers are exponentially worse.

Oh man I was listening to most of the show, can't believe I missed that. I think I caught part of it but it sounded like a woman. John is having a hard time spinning this for the team. They are a complete mess and I don't know how he can stick up for them anymore

Murph probably thought that too (sounded like a woman) and that's why he went off.

Well said on both counts.

When the Bills lose, I am miserable enough. I try to avoid Sullen, the others, and WGR. Negativity breeds negativity. I choose to stay away. As someone else said, it is porn for Sully and Bucky (and some of the others).

Donald Jones: "When you start blaming people....that's dysfunctional."

Wow Donald, as fans we can't listen to the radio, read articles, go to games, watch them on tv, watch replays / All 22, and not have the right to blame people?

This is a very Orwellian approach. Why are we not allowed to ask critical questions? This franchise is the laughingstock of the league and is a doormat for 17 years under 2 different owners. Something is messed up and we want to blame people, especially someone like Russ Brandon who has been at the helm for far too long.

John Murphy is a blow-hard. Between him, Chris Brown and Sal Capaccio, I stopped listening to the shows after 15 years of listening to WGR.

All they do is tow the company line and sell Russ Brandon's hope. That is their job, that is what they are paid to do. It's a joke to listen to.

Donald Jones: "The Bills are close, they really are close." Yeah, Don, we've heard that for years now and their record is no closer than it has been in years. We are always 7-9 or 8-8.

On the other hand, there are countless people who need to say "I told you so," and they are the ones who appoint chumps like Sully and Graham as their band leader.

I told you Tyrod would suck as QB.

I told you Rex would suck as coach.

I told you the Pegulas would such as owners.

Individually, these people don't have much of a megaphone, so they rely on local bylines to do their work, and happily march behind guys who simply have a larger platform on which to shout "I told you so" while also hoping for the added bonus of getting a band leader response to one of their tweets.

No it doesn't, but again, it's their product. They can do what they want with it, even if it will drive buyers away. There should be no problem understanding that.

And they do it because most Bills fans -- myself included -- are a bit like Apple fans. Yeah, they'll B word about not being able to plug in their earbuds, but they'll still be standing in a downpour of elephant piss to buy the next product they sell.

Now just wait a gosh-darned minute! I draw the line at a downpour of elephant piss. A little drizzle perhaps. Anymore than that, and I'll pay some PC kid $5 an hour to hold my spot.

The term "homer" is relative. Of course he will be a homer to an extent, but he takes it way too far. The Yankees have their own network, and they at least make an attempt to seem somewhat objective occasionally. Murph will never say one bad thing about anyone associated with this team.

And just what exactly do you think his options are for one with such little talent? Go to another city and take it by storm? He's a one trick pony like the other side of the coin to Sully.

So wait...

Who do we want to fire now and in what order?

Russ Brandon?

Doug Whaley?

Tyrod Taylor?

Dan Carpenter?

Any Random Special Teams guy?

John Murphy?

Just FIX THE PROBLEM dammit FIX THE PROBLEM.

Add billy Buffalo to the top of that list

I doubt Murph knew it was a kid, but I think there need to be more shows where people yell at kids.

lol.

And more shows that do funny things to small furry animals like squirrel launchers and such.

So you are just a casual fan. That's cool.

So is my sister. If the Bills had a big playoff game coming up, she would know about it, watch it, and enjoy it.

As it is, she probably can't name more than 5 players on the team and probably hasn't seen more than 3 or 4 games all year.

To each their own.
