MarkyMannn Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Or the bills are moving on from Taylor and are eliminating any circumstance in which they are forced to kepp him. And Whaley made this call, getting ready to unload TT and put in his fav choice EJ. Saddle the next coach with him and get ready for 0 for the 20's without a playoff appearance
BuffaloHokie13 Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I'm just glad this game is in NY!! EJ can play loose. But the game is in NJ though
vincec Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I wonder if the players themselves will end up giving the same amount of effort that Mario did last year or Gilmore on that "tackle." I'd be surprised if the players from both teams don't mail this one in.
YoloinOhio Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Rex was right. How do you think Kyle Williams or Hughes or Gilmore or a host of others feel about the team risking an injury to them in a meaningless game? Either play it like a preseason game or play to win. I think this is a unique situation with his option looming...
Best Player Available Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I think this is a unique situation with his option looming... I,think it's a going away present from his uncle Doug.
vincec Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I think this is a unique situation with his option looming... Once financial concerns override winning, then you're going to have a problem with motivation. The Bills are going to mail this game in. No question in my mind.
3rdand12 Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Who is gonna be the first receiver injured by the high throws? the tent
Hapless Bills Fan Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Is Whaley still pushing EJM? Whaley might not get the chance to select the next head coach. Already announced he will be leading the search. Whaley may or may not still have hopes for EJM, but this is 100% a business move, make no mistake. It's all about not risking injury to TT that would trigger his $27.5 injury guarantee. It doesn't mean the Bills will necessarily move on from TT, it just means they don't want to be locked into him as they search for a HC.
Fan in San Diego Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Un-effing-believable. Tyrod Taylor, whatever his flaws, has had an objectively solid season and has played well lately. Manuel's contract is up and he is not as good as Taylor. Some here are no doubt looking forward to celebrating drafting 13th instead of 17th -- as if that will change things. Maybe that too, but I think it is an audition for EJ as trade bait?
Nick the Greek Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 This will serve as a reminder as to how bad EJ really is. I think we've all forgotten.
Not at the table Karlos Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Everyone keeps saying Cardale is not ready, says who? The game is worthless and the Jets are horrible and the kid looked pretty good in preseason. So why not help EJ out with a free audition instead of seeing what we have in Cardale. This organization is so *^%#uped. um... Cardale...
YoloinOhio Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Maybe that too, but I think it is an audition for EJ as trade bait?He is a UFA, so I don't think he's going to be tradedOnce financial concerns override winning, then you're going to have a problem with motivation. The Bills are going to mail this game in. No question in my mind. Both teams will be mailing it in. Jets have been mailing it in for several weeks so they might be better at it. The players know why he isn't out there. They know that he was out there until they were eliminated, because financial concern didn't override winning until winning no longer mattered. In this case it's only one game, fortunately they were in contention until the 2nd last game.
jms62 Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 EJ Drinking game 1 Shot for ball overthrown out of bounds 1 Shot for Sack while inside tackle box 1 Shot Int or Fumble
YoloinOhio Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 EJ Drinking game 1 Shot for ball overthrown out of bounds 1 Shot for Sack while inside tackle box 1 Shot Int or Fumble why do you want us all to die
jms62 Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 why do you want us all to die How about -2 shots for a TD then...
PolishDave Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 How about -2 shots for a TD then... What are you supposed to do, puke your last few shots back up?
jms62 Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 What are you supposed to do, puke your last few shots back up? No if you drank already than thems the breaks but it allows you to erase the ineveitable next two that will follow shortly.
YoloinOhio Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Last time Fitz played EJ, at Houston 2014, it was the nail in EJ's coffin and he never saw the starting job again. We've come full circle. Kind of.
Dorkington Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Last time Fitz played EJ, at Houston 2014, it was the nail in EJ's coffin and he never saw the starting job again. We've come full circle. Kind of. Well, I for one hope EJ lights the Jets up, and he becomes a Hall of Fame QB for the Bills. I mean, I don't expect any of that, but it'd certainly be nice
YoloinOhio Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Pretty clear from Lynn presser it was not his decision to start EJ. Not that he's not ok with it. But he wasn't part of the decision.
