K D Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 (edited) EJ is starting vs Jets as per Adam Schefter. Don't get too excited. It's not because the team thinks he's better than Tyrod. They just don't want to risk Tyrod getting injured and his contract extension kicking in. Would like to see Cardale too so hopefully he dresses as #2. Edited December 27, 2016 by kdiggz
26CornerBlitz Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 @AdamSchefter Bills are planning to bench QB Tyrod Taylor vs Jets on Sunday to start EJ Manuel, per league sources. This is a... http://fb.me/7P80KWae4
YoloinOhio Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 @salsports There you go. The risk of Taylor being injured and having to pay his guarantee was too great. But Rex was going to start him.
dave mcbride Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Un-effing-believable. Tyrod Taylor, whatever his flaws, has had an objectively solid season and has played well lately. Manuel's contract is up and he is not as good as Taylor. Some here are no doubt looking forward to celebrating drafting 13th instead of 17th -- as if that will change things.
K D Posted December 27, 2016 Author Posted December 27, 2016 Bring on the hard counts! Over-under 10 offsides penalties for Jets?
Pirate Angel Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Maybe EJ lights it up and somebody trades us a first for it....Like we did for Rob Johnson after he played great in a meaningless game

If that is true, then it appears they have no interest in keeping Tyrod around next year.

Or the bills are moving on from Taylor and are eliminating any circumstance in which they are forced to kepp him.
dave mcbride Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 @salsports There you go. The risk of Taylor being injured and having to pay his guarantee was too great. But Rex was going to start him. The fact that Taylor looks like he isn't long for this team tells you everything you need to know about this organization and Whaley. Manuel is terrible and Taylor is average at worst. He's better than any guy the Bills will have a chance at getting next season. Good luck to Tyrod. I look forward to seeing him perform capably elsewhere.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Maybe EJ lights it up and somebody trades us a first for it....Like we did for Rob Johnson after he played great in a meaningless game Nope! EJ will be a UFA next season.
dave mcbride Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Maybe EJ lights it up and somebody trades us a first for it....Like we did for Rob Johnson after he played great in a meaningless game The Jets are terrible and have no pass defense. Even if he lights it up, nothing will increase Manuel's stock. Also, you do realize that Manuel's contract is up?

dave mcbride Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 (edited) Or the bills are moving on from Taylor and are eliminating any circumstance in which they are forced to kepp him. ... which is effing stupid. But par for the course for this team and this GM. Edited December 27, 2016 by dave mcbride
BringBackOrton Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Whaley pushing for his guy another year. He's a leader of men! Look in his eyes! Fire this man. He'll give EJ Tyrod's contract if he manages to only throw 3 picks versus the Jets.
Juice_32 Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 After the soul crushing defeat to Miami, I can genuinely think of nothing I'd rather watch than a good old fashioned EJ vs Fitz battle!
Sisyphean Bills Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Is Whaley still pushing EJM? Whaley might not get the chance to select the next head coach.
TSOL Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Thats cool, hopefully he has a good game in his audition for his new team. I always liked EJ, thought he got a bad rap here in B-lo, and will be wishing him the best for the rest of his career. Im kinda hoping we see him play well somewhere to prove all the smack talkers on here wrong. Not against the Bills ofcourse
CountDorkula Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 ... which is effing stupid. But par for the course for this team and this GM. After what just happened to Carr and Mariota. I cant blame them.
