LabattBlue Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 You're the one who just said you didn't want Brandon anywhere near the hire. True. But I'm more concerned aobout Mr & Mrs Pegula being the ones with the final decision making powers.
In space no one can hear Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 So Fire Rex keep his coaching tree. That would be so Billsy though Not saying I want this...but it is the path of least resistance for an organization that refuses to look at the sources of its true dysfunction.
NoSaint Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 It's a nice thought that Lynn is head coaching material. I would eliminate him based upon the Bush play in OT the other day. I believe that cost the Bills the game. I had absolutely zero faith that Carpenter would make that kick. Take away that Bush debacle and run something sensible, I think we would have won the game. I say bring in Tom Coughlin. Give him the keys and let the party begin. No missed tackles under Tom Coughlin. He's tough. In fact, I'm just going to rename him Toughlin. every coordinator will have a few of those moments. you cant kill him on one particular. its when they become too common that its an issue.
Sisyphean Bills Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Murph speculates that his doing in had to do with him wanting to start Tyrod this week What's Murph smoking?
NoSaint Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Murph speculates that his doing in had to do with him wanting to start Tyrod this week if fully eliminated he refused to make the move to protect the long term well being of the franchise, than yes, he deserved to be fired.
qwksilver Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 every coordinator will have a few of those moments. you cant kill him on one particular. its when they become too common that its an issue. I would eliminate him because he only has 14 games as an OC.

He would want control. Whaley has control. If Whaley is staying, Coughlin ain't coming.
Utah John Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 A year too late. Wrecks didn't do anything this year he didn't do last year. Took a top-five D and ruined it. And that's his specialty. Hah. Like Marrone being an O-line coach, and the O-line being so bad.

Billznut Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 What's Murph smoking? Murphy is useless unless he's kissing the Bills ass. It's all he knows how to do.
YoloinOhio Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 (edited) I would eliminate him because he only has 14 games as an OC.he has 31 games as Assistant HC. He's not interviewing for OC. Edited December 27, 2016 by YoloinOhio
26CornerBlitz Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 @NickVeronica Rex Ryan will likely be on your TV soon. His mother encouraged him to take a lucrative TV job after Jets fired him. http://buffalonews.com/2015/06/20/the-wild-early-years-and-the-football-family-that-shaped-bills-coach-rex-ryan/

I agree. Rex needed to go because he's a defensive coach who had a terrible defense. He was brought here to make a really good defense become dominant. He was supposed to be the perfect guy to help this team win without an elite QB. That being said, the coaching carousel continues, No one looks in the mirror to examine why mistakes keep being made. The organization need restructured to avoid these bad hires.
jahnyc Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 It is kind of nuts that Whaley is conducting the HC search. After Marrone and Rex, you would have thought the Pegulas would retain a consultant to help with them the football side of things.
stony Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 if fully eliminated he refused to make the move to protect the long term well being of the franchise, than yes, he deserved to be fired. Is starting an unprepared QB a smart long-term move for the franchise?
