San-O Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 (edited) Rushing defense, on display AGAIN yesterday. Ranked 29 in the league, rushing yards / game. That's basically the front 7, correct? After a D heavy draft and signing a few true FA gems. Couple really great pick ups. Seriously. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?seasonType=REG&offensiveStatisticCategory=null&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=1&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=RUSHING_YARDS_PER_GAME_AVG&tabSeq=2&season=2016&role=OPP&Submit=Go&archive=false&conference=null&defensiveStatisticCategory=RUSHING&qualified=false Offense has been an issue and the QB / passing game obviously, however if the Bills were not horrible up front, they probably would be in the playoffs in a couple weeks. You can't have bad run defense and a not too bright head coach, as we saw yesterday. It's just too much to overcome. 2 rushing plays after Rex gave the ball back to Miami - almost 80 yards RIGHT there - game over. IMO. Edited December 26, 2016 by San-O
MAJBobby Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 Yeah it was and is bad and a scheme change would fix it. Glad the offense couldnt put points on the board when they needed to like so often in this season because i means buh bye rex
PromoTheRobot Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 #1 Run defense #2 Injuries#3 Special teams play. Not just kicking but kick coverage. Could be related to #2
Andrew Son Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 #1 Run defense #2 Injuries #3 Special teams play. Not just kicking but kick coverage. Could be related to #2 Kick coverage is this case is a result of kicking. How about a !@#$ing touchback?
Nick the Greek Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 #1 Run defense #2 Injuries #3 Special teams play. Not just kicking but kick coverage. Could be related to #2 ST is often overlooked. Yesterday the fish had 2 big returns. One set up the tying field goal. That botched kick coverage killed us. Also, it would help if Carpenter could boot it out of the end zone.

Andrew Son Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 Some real good tackling as wellYep. The loss boils down to tacking, special teams and the refs. And we almost overcame all of that with stellar play from Tyrod, the running game, Clay and Sammy

DCbillsfan Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 (edited) Run defense Bad tackling Lack of depth 2 minute offense bad Special teams Passing game Defense doesn't get enough turnovers Attention to detail in all phases Edited December 25, 2016 by DCbillsfan
John from Riverside Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 Im going to lump everything D with the head coach..... So I would say.....even though 5th in the league in scoring points? Lack of ability to be explosive scoring (scoring quickly) hurt us..... This has to be biult into our offense
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 Gotta love first round picks that can't start because they and everyone else knew they were hurt
3rdand12 Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 Carpenter. fire him now. and i like the guy fire him hard too
mob16151 Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 The whole team has yet to show up for a game. The offense plays well, defense will suck, defense plays well offense sucks, and ST' s have been killing the Bills all season.
Nanker Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 It's all on the shoulders of the "heach" coach. No doubt about it.
Mark Vader Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Kick coverage is this case is a result of kicking. How about a !@#$ing touchback? Didn't we have 3 touch backs yesterday?
Buffalo Barbarian Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Running Back at QB Some real good tackling as well indeed
