djp14150 Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 assuming no ties..... NFC Cowboys have clinched division and home field Giants have clinched a WC spot Atlanta has clinched South currently #2 Seattle has clinched the west currently #3 Doesnt matter what happens on Monday---Green Bay at Detroit in week 17 is for the division title. If Detroit loses to Dallas on Monday night then this game could turn into a winner in playoffs loser is out. DET beat DAL ---clinch a playoff spot. hey would be in the #3 spot and Seattle would move down to #4 under that situation with DET and GB tied at 9-6 into week 17..... WAS win and they get WC #6 seed IF WAS loses to the Giants.... TB has a difficult shot of getting into the playoffs......besides needing WAS to lose, they lose a 9-7 tie with DET based on common record (should DET lose to GB). If GB loses their tiebreaker goes to strength of victory tie breaker. Prior to the houston game they were tied with winns by the teams they beat at 58.5. GB has HOU win which adds 1 to them, TB has KC tomorrow, and GB had DET on Monday. With TB and who they beat most of the teams they beat play each other which limits the growth potential. GB teams dont have as much of that problem so they are likely going to end up ahead of TB. In the AFC..... PIT clinches division with a win and BAL is eliminated. IF BAL wins then they are tied and with BAL sweeping the season series they have the tiebreaker for week 17. KC win they clinch. KC loses, OAK clinches the division. OAK has clinched a playoff spot NE has clinched the division and a bye HOU has clinched the division. IF HOU and BAL are tied BAL will have the better conference record for seeding. IF HOU is tied with IT it will come to stregth of victory. OAK and NE games will be at the same time since #! seed is at play where OAK W and NE L then OAK is #1 seed. MIA clinch a WC with a victory or a DEN loss KC clinch a WC with a victory over DEN and brings MIA in with them. KC can clinch division with 2 W and OAK loss DEN over MIA based on common games record MIA over KC based on common games record MIA over PIT based on H2H PIT gets in with a tie with MIA and DEN/KC because of better conference record With BAL its division or nothing. KC doesnt get in if PIT, KC, and MIA are ll tied at 10-6 for WC spots PT get 1st WC because of conference recor, MIA gets 2nd because of common games against KC. DEN can not pass KC in standings. They can only be seed 6. current guess for schedule for week 17: NBC -- GB/DET 1:00 CBS AFC SOuth,, CLE/PIT, BAL/CIN, , and BUF/Jets. IF BAL wins on Sunday then BAL/CIN would be the primary 1pm game. 4:25 CBS NE/MIA, OAK/DEN KC/SD 1:00 FOX DAL/PHL, NO/ATL, CAR/TB, CHI/MIN 4:25 FOX SEA/SF, AZ/LA, NYG/WAS--If DET loses on MNF then WAS win would get them a wild car spot. might have OAK/DEN and SEA/SF flip between FOX and CBS
PearlHowardman Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 The Buffalo Bills: No playoffs for the 17th straight season. Worse, the Buffalo Bills owners have NO idea how to run a football organization and they have NO idea how to run a hockey organization. The Pegulas are terminally clueless owners. Completely hopeless, incompetent, in over their heads, owners. The New England Patriots aren't going anywhere anytime soon. The Miami Dolphins are improving both as an organization and a football team. The Buffalo Bills will be fighting the New York Jets for 3rd place in the AFC East for at least the next 2-3 seasons.
