TPS Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Yep worthless glad we keep them. You just love your .500 QB Was open all season with or without Sammy. Fact major booby, your big shtick seems to be based on your argument that Taylor has regressed. Let's ignore the fact that the bills had serious injuries at WR. Now, here's one example of several I can provide. QB1 we'll call him, had a rating of 77 his first year with 17 TDs and 16 Ints, then his second year he had a 67.5 rating and 11 TDs with 15 ints. Based on how you analyze qbs, would you recommend dropping this qb and bringing in a game manager like hoyer?Major booby, here's another example. QB2 we'll call him. Year 2, he had a 99 rating with 17 TDs and 9 ints. In year 3 he "regressed." His rating was 75 and he had 18 TDs with 23 INTs. Would you get rid of him. And bring a game manager like Hoyer?
Maury Ballstein Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Agree. Im not drunk on koolaid and im not falling for the anti-Tyrod crusade. Come on over. We have snacks.
Augie Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Come on over. We have snacks. Snacks??? Are you in Uber territory?
HumbleAndHungry Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 I agree that our offense scores enough points to win games but how much is tyrod responsible for the point production? If we didn't have lesean McCoy our point production would be much different. I feel that he is more responsible than tyrod is. For the role tyrod plays I don't feel he's worth the money . His role is pass 18 times a game for 175 yards, don't turn the ball over, scramble for 50, and throw occasional screens and run option plays. Imagine our offense with an added passing dimension...he had a good game against Miami but does that erase the several games earlier in the season where he looked like a mobile version of Trent Edwards?
zow2 Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Fine, get rid of Tyrod. But don't do it until you have someone Better to replace him. People think you can dump the guy and we'll just keep churning out a top 7 offense. I don't get that mindset.

Well, the easy response is Gillislee has a significantly higher YPC avg (5.5 vs 6.2) than Shady. So anything else points out that it's complicated, and there is no way to know for sure how things might pan out with changes. But we are just fine in points scored, which is how you WIN GAMES. The offense is working, the D sucks despite talented guys. Hmmmmmm
HumbleAndHungry Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 I think a first round qb could do what tyrod does for a lot less money. Tyrod doesn't turn the ball over bc he takes no risks . He's usually a one read qb and doesn't release the ball until he's certain it's safe. There's no anticipation, he usually finds receivers very late in their route and doesn't give them the ability to run after the catch. Tyrod has also had tons of time to throw the ball. Despite a great line and strong running game he still puts up pedestrian numbers .
zow2 Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 He only has tons of time to throw because he buys himself an extra couple seconds dancing around. It's a flawed stat. Mobile QBs always have the metric showing them with most time to pass.

Who is the guy you will bet your future on? This looks like a weak QB draft. Is there an EJ you like? I'm all ears as I'm not the guru, but.... Edited December 26, 2016 by Augie
John from Riverside Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Come on over. We have snacks. https://youtu.be/lrNrLly1vvM Watson I like Watson to.....and I would draft him but I wouldnt put the ball in his hands as the starter immediately
HumbleAndHungry Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Im with you, I think he will best qb from this draft by far hemet. So u would keep tyrod and draft Watson?
Augie Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Watson Nice, and bold. I like that. So many don't like his lack of improvement. He may be the guy..... I don't know. Now, will he make it to our pick?
HumbleAndHungry Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 I think there is a chance he will drop to us, especially if we lay an egg against the jets lol

According to ESPN and MajBobby TT ranks 10th in the NFL for QB's in: "Number of points contributed by a quarterback over the season, accounting for QBR and how much he plays, above the level of an average quarterback." http://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr/_/sort/qbpaa
HumbleAndHungry Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Nice stat...interesting..his running ability shoots him up the standings. Look at his clutch weighted pass stat though....horrendous

He has a hand in both his runs on third down extending drive payoff in touchdowns and points. His missed throws are the down side but to pretend we can disect how much he contributes is Jeremy White territory it is trying to hard to discredit the qb. The bottom line and frankly the only thing that matters is 26 points a game is outstanding and 6th in the league and he deserves full credit as the staring qb. The added passing attack comes with added turnovers as well the found a way for his passing efficiency to be huge. Fantasy football is for guys like Brees 5000 yards and the 4th 7-9 season in a row. Aaaaaaaaaaaaame we tried that with EJ ..you would be hoping and hope is not a game plan for success and YES rushing counts as a qb if its part of your game. 26 points a week for example puts seattle at 13-2 while if we scored 30 a week which would #2 in the NFL we are currently 10-5 its the D why we arent winning. This offense scores in actual football quit playing fantasy Edited December 26, 2016 by CardinalScotts
bobobonators Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 (edited) Nice stat...interesting..his running ability shoots him up the standings. Look at his clutch weighted pass stat though....horrendousIf youre in the red zone do you care if TT scores rushing the ball in or passing the ball in? You dont. And you shouldnt. Even more so, its awesome to see QBs pass the ball up and down the field between the 20's and then they get to the red zone and the team cant punch it in. Its not a coincidence that our red zone offense is awesome. Also "horrendous". Yeh his clutch weighted pass stat is BELOW AVEREGE but he still ranks 22, above Cam, Tannehill, bortles. Horrendous would be 29/30 who score 9.8 and -1.6 respectively. But to come full circle here, you originally said tyrod didnt account for much scoring as a QB. Thats what you said. hes top 10 according to ESPN. So, youre wrong. Edited December 26, 2016 by bobobonators
