He hasn't even been hired as a OC yet for a year and your going to promote him to HC. His passing attack stinks too and your going to promote him to HC. How much worse can this situation actually get. Rex fired Roman promotes Lynn to OC then get fired because Bills like him better. What a story this will make in the national media!!! Except, he is already a candidate for every open job...
USABuffaloFan Posted December 24, 2016 Author Posted December 24, 2016 Except, he is already a candidate for every open job... Every open jobs are on teams that continue to lose!
Kirby Jackson Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 (edited) Every open jobs are on teams that continue to lose!Do some people here even follow the league? He is one of the hottest names on the market in terms of head coaches. Does that mean that it will work -who knows but they certainly won't be criticized for it? Heitz Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 Except, he is already a candidate for every open job... Come on Kirb, you know TBD is smarter than most NFL owners / GMs. His passing game stinks, ergo, he's an embarrassment as a Bills HC candidate!
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 There obviously is something really compelling about him; everyone raves about him.

It's really weird to be so uninformed but to play it off like everyone else is uninformed. Lynn is a candidate in LA and Jacksonville already. Yet it would be mind blowing if the Bills considered him a candidate?
USABuffaloFan Posted December 24, 2016 Author Posted December 24, 2016 If Lynn is asking to be looked as a HC candidate the League has a obligation to do so based on being a minority. Ted Cottrell never got hired, that is all the proof you need it won't happen. At least Ted had the experienced needed to be a HC, he probably should have been hired by us instead of Gailey.
Maury Ballstein Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 Good. Hire him and let him pick a qb.
USABuffaloFan Posted December 24, 2016 Author Posted December 24, 2016 There obviously is something really compelling about him; everyone raves about him. For ESPN it will be because he is a minority. Look at the resume folks!!!

He has also spoken out AGAINST the Rooney Rule. The situation here may be very similar to Tampa last year when they decided the coordinator was more important than the HC. It isn't crazy at all. He had HC interviews last year.

They would probably hire Rex if we fire him!
Kirby Jackson Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 (edited) Yeah those teams are not even as good as the Bills right now. YEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kirby Jackson Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 Just to be clear I'm not saying that he will be good or bad. I'm saying that the notion that they would consider him is more than reasonable, basically the opposite of the premise of the thread.
nucci Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 Every open jobs are on teams that continue to lose! Winning teams usually don't need a new head coach
Kirby Jackson Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 YEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!So you are more informed on the HC candidates than the entire NFL? Got it
Wayne Cubed Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 (edited) What's up with the exclamation points? Edited December 24, 2016 by Wayne Cubed
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 For ESPN it will be because he is a minority. Look at the resume folks!!! I don't think that's it. It's also the teams and internal guys, not ESPN, who have promoted him. Reminds me of when the steelers hired Tomlin. They were impressed with his knowledge, demeanor, and leadership skills. Being a good tactician was of less importance. I know nothing about Lynn. But this could be the same reason teams like him.
