Gugny Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Wishing her well ... http://www.tmz.com/2016/12/23/carrie-fisher-heart-attack-plane/
Augie Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 Get well, and thanks to the EMT on the plane, and all of them everywhere. They don't get the recognition they deserve. One saved my son's life.
flomoe Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 (edited) Spoiler Alert. Just saw her in Rogue One. She looked great, almost as good as 40 years ago. Who would have known. I kid, hope she's recovering and will be with us for many more years. Thank god for the EMT's to save her. Edited December 24, 2016 by flomoe
Nanker Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 (edited) She just passed away. Edited December 27, 2016 by Nanker
DC Tom Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 And Vera Rubin died. 2016 can just go !@#$ itself.

DC Tom Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 #darkmattermatters Not enough for a Nobel Prize, though. Yes, I'm upset about Carrie Fisher, too. More so than Rubin...which rather upsets me, too, since I've actually met Rubin and spoken to her about her research. But seriously...just !@#$ 2016. Can we spare some decent human beings and have more !@#$s generally loathsome people die in 2017? Or even just annoying people - I nominate Carrot Top, if it'll save Colin Powell or someone...
B-Man Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 14 Other Movies Featuring Star Wars Actress Carrie Fisher. Her best performance was probably in When Harry Met Sally…, which went on to inspire a thousand inferior romcoms. And her “Mystery Woman” in The Blues Brothers set up the funniest scene in an already very funny movie. Rest in Peace.
/dev/null Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Fisher's mother, Debbie Reynolds, reportedly taken to hospital for a possible stroke
Beef Jerky Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 (edited) Fisher's mother, Debbie Reynolds, reportedly taken to hospital for a possible stroke This is just horrible... This poor family. As a parent seeing you child go before you then this. Edited December 29, 2016 by Beef Jerky
Doc Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Fisher's mother, Debbie Reynolds, reportedly taken to hospital for a possible stroke I don't blame her. I'd probably have the same thing happened to me if one of my kids went before I did.

Having kids... yikes, can't imagine having to lose one. This could be takotsubo cardomyopathy. Edited December 29, 2016 by Boyst62
DC Tom Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 This is just horrible... This poor family. As a parent seeing you child go before you then this. My grandmother has outlived four of her five kids. I have no idea how she's still going.
Guffalo Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 My grandmother has outlived four of her five kids. I have no idea how she's still going. Laxatives?
