It did not turn out well in Syria.

The military has been with the people since the protests started in January. Slow trickles of dissenters turned into a downpour. Many of the security services have defected as well.

The Revolutionary Guard is still a question mark - but they've been hit hard by these sanctions and the currency collapse.

Iran: Khamenei urges judiciary to confront those who harm economy

On Monday, thousands of traders in the Iranian capital's Grand Bazaar held a rare strike over the rial's collapse on the foreign exchange market.

Ayatollah Sadeq Larijani, Iran's judiciary chief, warned against what he called "economic saboteurs" who could face capital punishment and up to 20 years in jail.

The IRGC isn't likely going down without a fight. They're far too entrenched to walk away from their ponzi schemes and corrupt businesses. Unfortunately, the Iranian Army isn't going to be a match for the IRGC in a straight-up fight - intentionally so.

So they're going to kill the "saboteurs", and then them let them sit in prison for 20 years?

Obama's nuclear deal was the catalyst for this great change, despite Trump's bumbling attempts at foreign policy.

PRAISE BE OBAMA!

They'll just rename it the Obama Peace Prize.

Well, having an old dead white guy on the prize isn't very woke...

Mullah's on borrowed time. There are small units on the ground intermixed with the crowds helping to protect protesters - you can (possibly) see two of them in the video racing up on the motorcycle to help the injured person, they're both armed.

That’s what US signs say if you hit a highway construction worker.

Their English is fine as far as I can see. Koko78 said the same above that I did:

There's a "gist" to that?

They're desperate and panicked. This is today... many towns are without fresh water to drink, that fueled much of the protests last night: (whole thread worth looking through).
