B-Man
U.S. PLANS ‘FULL WITHDRAWAL’ FROM IRAQI EMBASSY: “The Americans aren’t just angry. They’re really, really, really angry,” said one Iraqi official after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo informed the Iraqi government that the U.S. was planning a full withdrawal from the U.S. Embassy unless attacks on American personnel and the embassy by pro-Iranian militias ceased. Pompeo gave the ultimatum to Iraqi President Barham Saleh on Saturday night. Read the whole thing.

SectionC3
Perfect thread for the day. Based on the NYT article, it might seem that Trump’s foreign policy is to leverage his position as President of the United States of America to extract as much capital from foreign leaders for his own benefit as possible. And it's frustrating as heck as politicians are forced to come up with better ideas when their idiocy is exposed. And the morons in the mainstream press don't realize that by scrutinizing ALL politicians, we all win. It's great that they come after Republicans hard. We'd all be better off if they came after Democrats at least 3/4's as hard. And if they'd only twist conservatives words 20% more often than they do liberals, we'd be better off as well.

I used to watch "Meet the Press" religiously. I stuck with it for a bit. Gave David Gregory a few weeks before just giving up completely. Your other point is dead nutz accurate. There is nothing worse than just abject compliance. Giving these morons nothing more than an echo chamber is exactly why we're where we are today. Democrats literally feel above the law because there's no reason for them not to. Unchecked government power has historically been a very bad thing.

But, speaking of Gregory, who was awful as the moderator on MtP, he's the guy that had Pelosi say the Catholic Church has no position on when life begins AND that natural gas is not a fossil fuel. Too bad he didn't follow up on either as her explanations would've been doozies.
ALF
Flight of Boeing E-6B Mercurys amid Trump's coronavirus announcement 'purely coincidental': Strategic Command The E-6B is used by the government to convey instructions to the fleet of ballistic submarines the U.S. has in waters around the world. The vessels can deploy nuclear-tipped Trident submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs). The planes are part of Operation Looking Glass – known today as Airborne Command Post (ABNCP) – and are used to provide command and control of U.S. nuclear forces if any ground-based command centers are either destroyed or inoperable. There was speculation the airborne command posts were deployed as a warning to any of America’s enemies after news broke of Trump’s positive test for the novel coronavirus. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trumps-positive-coronavirus-test-prompts-pentagon-to-deploy-nuclear-command-plane
