B-Man Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 ARTHUR CHRENKOFF ON AUSTRALIA: “It’s pretty much a hard political law that when the right loses an election they tend to blame themselves (‘it was the infighting – the bloody moderates/conservatives [delete as appropriate] destabilised the party’ or ‘what a ***** campaign that was; what idiots do we have in charge at the headquarters?’). If, on the other hand, the left loses they blame the voters, who are either evil or dumb. Or they blame the electoral system. The same system that seems to work OK every time they win, all of a sudden becomes problematic, outdated and deeply flawed when they don’t.” Same here.
Buffalo_Gal Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 @Deranged Rhino posted in another thread about Theresa May being expected to resign today (EU election-related?) Here's a tad more: 1

She "faces pressure", "could resign", and it "clinging on" - well those are the headlines anyway.Theresa May faces pressure after Andrea Leadsom resigns Theresa May is continuing to face pressure from her own MPs to resign after one of her senior ministers quit the cabinet. By John Hudson and Josh Dawsey Yes, we could have done way more! For example we could have given Russia the remainder of our uranium ..or maybe let them take over part of another country! These people aren’t thinking big enough. But...it’s OK, tell Vladimir that Trump will have a lot more flexibility after the 2020 election! ? 1

Deranged Rhino Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Rice has about as much credibility as Ben Rhodes does on the issue of Iran.
SoCal Deek Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Susan Rice stills posts using a signature listing herself as Ambassador Rice?! That’s pathetic. After her Benghazi performance she should never speak in a quasi public capacity again.
B-Man Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 Sen. Feinstein Dines with Iranian FM Amid Tensions More troubling stuff – why is she meeting with the people currently threatening us? And then telling a story about the State Department arranging it when they clearly didn’t? Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) had dinner with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, Politico reported Thursday. Feinstein’s office said her dinner was “arranged in consultation with the State Department.” The State Department said it had not asked the senior senator from California to attend the dinner. Zarif has served in his post since 2013. He negotiated the Joint Congressional Plan of Action (JCPOA), the Iran nuclear agreement, with then-Secretary of State John Kerry. In February of this year, he announced he would be resigning from the post. After several days of confusion, the Iranian government clarified he would remain in his role. Keep reading…

Which could simply mean DiFi's office sent an email to some flunky at State and said "We're doing this, try to stop us." Interesting that she's not on any committee that really justifies meeting with him, though.
