BEN RHODES: Trump’s Cuba Policy Will Fail.

Rhodes of course is famous (infamous?) for building an Obama Administration echo chamber” in the American media to sell the Iran nuclear deal.

Rhodes also personally insulted that same press, saying, “The average reporter we talk to is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns… They literally know nothing.”

That The Atlantic should chose to host someone who admits to using and abusing the press reveals much about that publication’s standards.

Last year progressives cheered when then-President Obama loosened trade and other restrictions against Cuba. Obama celebrated in that country with Raul Castro.

Today President Trump is in Miami announcing a re-tightening of those restrictions, to the cheers of many in Miami’s Little Havana

BREAKING: Trump announces changes to Obama-era Cuba policy, challenges Castro government to negotiate a better deal

DCddl-xUIAIHU5G.jpgPres Trump revels in prolonged standing ovation as he takes stage to deliver speech on US-Cuba policy.

President Trump says Obama deal with Castro regime was misguided, and enriched only the Cuban Government. "Now those days are over."

He calls on Castro Regime to end abuse of dissidents, release all political prisoners, open Cuba to freedom & return US fugitives.

Former Obama Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes was not only critical of Trump, but also those at his event supporting the move:

The people in Miami enabling Trump in carrying out this charade should be embarrassed/ held accountable. He could care less about Cubans

How should Cuban refugees who fled Castro's regime be "held accountable" for opposing Castro, Ben? Be specific.

Right Ben, what would this woman know about anything? https://

twitter.com/CNNPolitics/st

atus/875771576226021378 Rhodes is in no position to be doing any legacy lecturing:

So other than pallets of cash to gay-hating mullahs & leaving 4 Americans to die in Benghazi, how's that Legacy thing working out.

Dissidents are STILL being carried away in #Cuba, and all your former boss (Obama) did was pose in front of a Che Guevara mural. Ass. https://twitter.com/brhodes/status/875770884161773569

Man who concocted false stories to feed idiot reporters to help terriorist sponsors go nuclear is whining about accountability. ....

Russia to treat US jets in Syria as 'targets' after America guns down first regime warplane

Russia has said it will treat US warplanes operating in parts of Syria where its air forces are present as "targets" amid a diplomatic row caused by the downing of a Syrian jet.

The country's defence ministry said the change in position would apply to all aircraft, including those operating as part of the US-backed coalition.

It will also suspend a hotline between Russia and the US set up to prevent mid-air collisions.

LONDON — President Trump has done business with royals from Saudi Arabia for at least 20 years, since he sold the Plaza Hotel to a partnership formed by a Saudi prince. Mr. Trump has earned millions of dollars from the United Arab Emirates for putting his name on a golf course, with a second soon to open.

He has never entered the booming market in neighboring Qatar, however, despite years of trying.

Now a feud has broken out among these three crucial American allies, and Mr. Trump has thrown his weight firmly behind the two countries where he has business ties, raising new concerns about the appearance of a conflict between his public role and his financial incentives.

Mr. Trump has said he is backing Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates because Qatar is “a funder of terror at a very high level.” But his stance toward Qatar, which is host to the largest American air base in the region, has differed sharply from the positions of the Pentagon and State Department. The secretaries of defense and state have stayed neutral, urging unity against the common enemy of the Islamic State.

“Other countries in the Middle East see what is happening and may think, ‘We should be opening golf courses’ or ‘We should be buying rooms at the Trump International,’” said Brian Egan, a State Department legal adviser under the Obama administration. “Even if there is no nefarious intent on behalf of the president or the Trumps, for a president to be making money from business holdings in sensitive places around the world is likely to have an impact.”

A spokesman for the White House declined to address questions about the appearance of a conflict of interest.

Then Mr. Trump defended the blockade again just hours after Mr. Tillerson had urged an end to it. “The time had come to call on Qatar to end its funding” of terrorism, Mr. Trump said.

The Saudis “buy apartments from me,” he said in August 2015 at a rally in Mobile, Ala. “They spend $40 million, $50 million. Am I supposed to dislike them? I like them very much.”

So now our foreign policy is dependent on Trump's business contacts?

Add this to the articles of impeachment

Of course left out of that equation is the fact the US shot down a Syrian fighter who was targeting ISIS forces. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2017/06/18/us-led-coalition-shoots-down-pro-assad-fighter-jets-after-attack-on-partner-forces.html

Once again we see a concrete example of the battlefield alliance forged between the US and ISIS. The enemy of our enemy is our friend... even when that "friend" is a terrorist group that burns children alive and actively targets western civilians in cities across Europe and the US.

But we can't talk about that, because "we must stand up to Russia" - even if it means siding with monsters.

True but...

This is bigger than partisanship imo and cuts right to the heart of who really dictates policy in this country. It's not the dems or the republicans and is sure as **** ain't the voters or the will of the people. It's the MiC and its various deep state entities who want perpetual war and the profits that come with it.The desire for this perpetual war is so blatant that they are willing to shoot down a Syrian jet, inside Syria's sovereign borders (despite the US being uninvited into their airspace), and risk escalating the conflict there to a shooting war between US and Russian forces all to... protect ISIS fighters on the ground who oppose Assad.

The same ISIS group we're supposedly fighting to the death a few miles away in Iraq, the same ISIS group the media and western mouthpieces have built up to be the reason why western governments need to restrict constitutional protections and civil liberties.

Add this to the blatant war crime committed in September of 2016 designed to shred the cease fire and prolong the violence on the ground. This isn't a humanitarian mission for the US, and it never has been. This is about bleeding Russians and removing Assad so he can be replaced by someone (ISIS and AQ fighters) who will make better deals for the transnational corporations and banks who want to move into Syria.

It's complicated.

But going against the landslide will of The People just for spite and suckybabies over losing is all the Dems are good for any more.

US responds to Russian threat after shoot-down of Syrian jet

U.S. pilots operating over Syria won't hesitate to defend themselves from Russian threats, a Pentagon spokesperson said Monday in the latest escalation between the two superpowers since a U.S. jet shot down a Syrian aircraft on Sunday.

"We do not seek conflict with any party in Syria other than ISIS, but we will not hesitate to defend ourselves or our partners if threatened," Capt. Jeff Davis told Fox News.

US fighter jets have shot down an Iran-made Syrian drone after it came within firing range of US troops, US reports claim.

It didn't say SDF was ISIS

A lie. ISIS is our ally in Syria. Hence the reason we shot down a Russian jet trying to fire on ISIS fighters in the region.

They might have fizzled out had the USIC not decided it was more important to use them as a proxy to overthrow Assad in 2011. Now they're our chums on the ground in Syria and we are actively helping them oust Assad so the "moderate" jihadists can take over Syria and cut the west better business deals (after they cut the heads off every Christian, Jew and Secularist in Syria of course - but that's the price of doing business). We're even shooting down Syrian jets, in Syrian airspace, and risking a shooting war with Russia just so we can keep on supporting folks who burn babies, blow up children, and target the west in acts of cowardly jihad.

But we can't admit that. The propaganda machine will distract you from that reality as much as they can because they know it's a bad look.

Are you sure they were not Kurdish SDF , honest ? I believe the US and ISIS connection in the past.

The Kurds are there as well and our allies. They weren't the only targets of that attack that led to the shoot down (it was a cluster of fighters targeted, not all of which were SDF) - the initial reports, before the state department pulled them, coupled with contacts of operators in the AO confirmed as much to me personally. The area where the incident occurred is only a few miles from where the September '16 bombing happened that shredded the cease fire. It's an ISIS controlled region.

ISIS, AQ and the US continue to work closely together in Syria while just a few miles away they're fighting one another in Iraq (when they aren't running arms into Syria through Iraq and giving them to ISIS/AQ fighters).
