C.Biscuit97 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 This - and frankly that makes more sense than Cardale or TT playing. LOL - I see what you did there! Right - even if one thinks it's highly unlikely EJ has improved enough to consider as a future starter, why not try him out? Cardale isn't ready and also isn't going anywhere next season. TT is done at his price. It's entirely conceivable EJ is the best option to start next year (along with a high pick rookie). I agree. No need to throw Jones to the wolves yet and have some fans ready to move him out of town.
YoloinOhio Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 If Chenelly is accurate (he usually is) they may think that they can beat the Browns with EJ so why play TT...
NoSaint Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 I'd give Rex the call until the minute we are eliminated. But leash short enough that we consider yanking him mid game if we are essentially eliminated by someone we need to lose running up a score though.
Mr. WEO Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 If Chenelly is accurate (he usually is) they may think that they can beat the Browns with EJ so why play TT... Why do you say it's EJ or TT? Whaley probably wanted Jones, but Rex won out--hence Whaley's announcement that Jones "isn't ready".
YoloinOhio Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Rex made him a captain ... alrighty then Today's @buffalobills captains for #CLEvsBUF: LB Preston Brown LB Zach Brown S Corey Graham QB Tyrod Taylor WR Robert Woods
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Rex makes the decisions on who's active on Sundays. Rex likely figuring if we win out, we're 9-7, makes it tough to be fired with that record, can't blame him for that. Rex from everything we've heard reports directly to the Pegula's so unless they specifically tell him to make TT inactive, it doesn't happen. The only other option would be for Whaley to cut TT, but doubt he'd want to do that. And if that was the only way to stop Rex from playing TT, would be much easier to just fire Rex. Maybe even take a play out of the Ralph Wilson playbook and and argue Rex disobeyed him so was fired for in subordination and doesn't need to be paid. That worked out well the last time! @joechenellyStrong disagreement within #Bills org on who should be under center today & through rest of the season. Rex got his way today. #BillsMafia
YoloinOhio Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Whaley continues to whip that dead horse.not really, he's just the only other option if they are being truthful about Cardale's readiness
