Rico Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Does that mean Colonel (Klink) Brandon and Sergeant (Schultz) Whaley are there? Goodness I would hope not. Whaley: " I know nothing!"
Mr. WEO Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Does that mean Colonel (Klink) Brandon and Sergeant (Schultz) Whaley are there? Goodness I would hope not. Whaley: " I know nothing!" HO-GAAAAAAAAN!
Dorkington Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 I really don't want old has-been coaches. Give me a younger up and coming guy. Give him three years minimum to build a playoff contender. I feel like if we keep hiring re-treads, we'll give them a year, then run them out.
RyanC883 Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 He will have just turned 71 a few days earlier next year on opening day of regular season. weren't both Hillary and Trump over 70?? I don't think that 71 is an issue. He will have the players respect, and be able to bring in quality coordinators.
RyanC883 Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Coughlin is a delegator rather than a system guy. And Coughlin would be able to attract qualified OC/DC's. Guys who could be our HC when Coughlin retires.
Billznut Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Where do you get that from? He hired Tim Murray, didn't he? TM is far from being a Yes man Pat LaFontaine hired Tim Murray in his brief role as Sabres team president.
RyanC883 Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Please, no to Tom Coughlin. His last 4 seasons in NY he was (9-7), (7-9), (6-10) and (6-10). All of this while being in the craptastic NFC LEast AND having a "franchise QB" in Eli. Eli is average. the Giants were awful from 2013-15 Tom also won two Super Bowls. Meanwhile, the Bills have been awful since 1999.
baskingridgebillsfan Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 And Coughlin would be able to attract qualified OC/DC's. Guys who could be our HC when Coughlin retires. There is an appeal to putting a long term staff and systems in place
Reed83HOF Posted December 14, 2016 Author Posted December 14, 2016 Eli is average. Tom also won two Super Bowls. Meanwhile, the Bills have been awful since 1999. Who did he beat in those superbowls again?
BillsVet Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 HO-GAAAAAAAAN! Whaley: " I know nothing!" There has never been an escape, er, bad marketing plan at Stalag One Bills Drive.

Like Greggggg & Mularkey, Bradley, Pettine, Kelly, Schiano, McDaniels, et al?
RyanC883 Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Who did he beat in those superbowls again? The Patroits***, both times!!!
YoloinOhio Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 (edited) Coughlin is a delegator rather than a system guy.if that's the case I'd be good with it. It's going to come down To the coordinators with Xs and Os and he would drive the ship and set it up for one of them to take over if successful. I think Rex tried to delegate this year and focus on HC, but just too disorganized and ego-driven about his scheme in the end. Edited December 14, 2016 by YoloinOhio
Fadingpain Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Eli is average. Tom also won two Super Bowls. Meanwhile, the Bills have been awful since 1999. I'd love to have Eli's brand of average on this team. He'd instantly be the best QB in our franchise history not named Kelly.
baskingridgebillsfan Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Like Greggggg & Mularkey, Bradley, Pettine, Kelly, Schiano, McDaniels, et al? Pettine had the Brown 7-4 they should build him a statue.
The Wiz Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Coughlin played and coached at Syracuse. OBVIOUS RUSS BRANDON MARKETING HIRE!! He also coached my RIT Tigers.
CommonCents Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 And Ill be the guy to say it. I give two sh*ts is Hughes doesnt want to be on the team because somebody wants him to contol himself and show some dicipline. Dont let the door hit your ass on the way out if a little dicipline is more than you can handle. Amen. If you can't be held accountable for your play and conduct go elsewhere. He won't even need to rent a UHaul I heard he only has 5 sacks.
Rico Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 And Coughlin would be able to attract qualified OC/DC's. Guys who could be our HC when Coughlin retires. What's Kevin Gilbride up to?
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 if that's the case I'd be good with it. I think Rex tried to delegate this year and focus on HC, but just too disorganized and ego-driven about his scheme in the end. Some fans may not like this idea but I think Perry Fewell would do well with our D, his system being more DL-based than Rex' D. He would let the dogs hunt, even did a decent job as Bills interim HC. Currently DB coach in Washington
