Doc Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 He is thought as an up and coming HC candidate around the league Why? He's been a RB'ing coach the last 15 years and only got elevated to OC after Roman was fired.
YoloinOhio Posted December 13, 2016 Author Posted December 13, 2016 (edited) Probably want to pick his brain to consider him as a potential OC when he's not retained after Ryan is sacked.my thought as welll. if they interview him, they may want him as OC but by calling him an HC candidate they don't need permission from the Bills since it would be a promotion. Correct me if I'm wrong in how that works. That way if Rex is fired and Lynn doesn't get retained, they just hire him as OC as they've already built the relationship. Also fulfills the Rooney rule. Spiderweb Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Lynn can walk. I haven't seen anything offensively from him that warrants him being a HC, let alone an OC. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
Tenhigh Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 He's not going anywhere. Honestly, if the Bills part ways with the Ryans, I see them bringing back Scwhartzy as Head Coach and promoting Lynn to Assistant Head Coach. That is the Billsy thing to do, no?
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 That works out well since he's the next scapegoat up on the magic 8 ball for why this top ten offense hasn't won more games.
Gugny Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Gruden makes a lot of sense there. Jay or Jon?
dezertbill Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Rooney Rule. Nothing to see here, move along. I would lean more to this
Nihilarian Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 I hope they sign him as he deserves a shot at HC. As for Buffalo if they make a change again I hope it's for someone with a winning NFL record as HC.
MAJBobby Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Why? He's been a RB'ing coach the last 15 years and only got elevated to OC after Roman was fired. Because he is. He was well received in interviews last year. Doesn't need to be an oC to be a good HC
DC Tom Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Don't do it, Anthony! You're a young man. Think of your career!
Mr. WEO Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 If I were the owner for LA (Kroenke?), and needing to make a splash, I would offer Belichick 15M a yearfor 5 years and give him total autonomy. He has total autonomy and Kraft would never be outbid.
DrDawkinstein Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 If the Rams want a "big name" coach, I know one that will be available in a few weeks...
BulletProofPoet Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 I'd rather them take Rex. We can send the Ryan clowns as a package deal. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2016/12/13/13939250/report-bills-anthony-lynn-in-contention-for-la-rams-head-coach-job
Gugny Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 If the Rams want a "big name" coach, I know one that will be available in a few weeks... No, we need to keep Rex in the AFC so we have less competition for a playoff spot someday.
stony Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Lynn can walk. I haven't seen anything offensively from him that warrants him being a HC, let alone an OC. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk Yeah, our offense sucks. If he wants to go implement a run heavy scheme, I suppose it'll be one less team that's a threat to win it all.
8-8 Forever? Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Oh hell no We need to get Rex out and Lynn in asap yes. if they want some quality guys to pick from, maybe cannot wait until January to exit Rexy poo
