After struggling to score all game, the Bills scored in 52 seconds. The Bills couldn't recover the onside kick and the game was over.

"This game meant everything to the fans," "I feel like they deserve more than what we showed them today."

"We had a chance to do something really special right here," "and we totally wasted it."

The Bills were called for four penalties in the fourth quarter, upping their game total to 12 for 108 yards

The Buffalo Bills spent 10 long weeks instilling hope in this city. Then they came out for the biggest game of their season and looked, well, utterly hopeless.

THIS IS ALL FROM THE PITTSBURGH GAME 11 YEARS AGO. Sound familiar?

Not exactly because the Steelers had something to play for yesterday unlike 2004 when the Bills couldn't defeat reserve players in order to gain a playoff berth.

Those third string reserve players included the undrafted James Harrison and Willie Parker. Harrison recovered a fumble late and returned it for a TD, basically deciding the game, and Parker rushed for over 100. They were a deep team.

It's all the same.

Anyone that has been around since the Kelly-era must see that it's all just treading water. If they had kept Dick Jauron all these years, it would likely be about the same.

It's going to be at least 10 years before this organization wins a championship. It's going to take that long to find and develop a QB, while at the same time having a well coordinated GM/Coaching Staff.

Until that all comes together (a chunk of years AFTER these people have finally been found), it's gonna be 9-7 or worse. Rinse and repeat.
