Is that the latest politically correct term we now substitute for "SUSPECT"?!!!! Give me a f'ing break.

MadBuffaloDisease
Well they're calling him a suspect now. I guess this guy was either so arrogqnt to think he could STILL avoid capture, or wanted to be caught. Well in either case, it looks like they got him. And since the crimes were committed before 1994, he can't be executed, which will at least save money.

Give me a f'ing break. 253731 My understanding is that "person of interest" is not the same thing as "suspect." A "person of interest" could be a witness, someone who knows the suspect, etc, not necessarily the person who carried out the crime. CW
Alaska Darin
Another reason is the stigma being a "possible suspect" has on people who are completely innocent. It's just another way to avoid lawsuits by hiding behind phrasing.
Nanker
Remember the "Atlanta Olympic Bomber" case? The FBI and media had Richard Jewel screwed, blued, and tatooed. They ruined his life - and that of his family. Only thing was, he was innocent - a little goofy, but innocent. I think he made out okay in the settlement though. Frankly, I think this guy is a "person of disinterest" to me.

Britbillsfan
Was anybody ever charged for that bombing anyway? Are Muslims allowed into Georgia? 254173 Eric Robert Rudolph. Was arrested in May 2003 in N Carolina after being on the top ten wanted for some time. Freak also bombed a gay bar and some abortion (Georgia and Alabama) clinics including leaving secondary devices for the emergency services and also killed a police officer in one of the other bombings.
