pepsicat17 Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 To be fair we are wasting his talents as a NT. He is NOT a NT. He, as well as most of our players, are better suited for a 4-3 base scheme not the 3-4/5-2 that Rex loves to run. Need a big huge Wilfork NT for those schemes to work. In the 4-3 base Darius and Kyle rush and fill up the middle and Lawson and Hughes coming off the corners with a blitzer or two. It's so clear and obvious it's hard to see how defensive guru Rex doesn't see it.
Pirate Angel Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 (edited) He's a 4-3 dt not a 3-4 nose Now we have 4-3 lineman with 3-4 linebackers Edited December 12, 2016 by BILLriant
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Whoever gave him a guaranteed brinks truck full of money without any sort of conduct or suspension clause needs to be fired.
dave mcbride Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 ?? - Dareus played pretty well today and made a number of good stops late. They were double teaming a lot of the game too.
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 He's a 4-3 dt not a 3-4 nose Now we have 4-3 lineman with 3-4 linebackers Most of our LBs are free agents. Should be easy to make the switch
Coach Tuesday Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 The irony of this thread is that Dareus played well yesterday and Washington looked like a UDFA.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Dareus has been an absolute beast since returning from his suspension. Now he's the problem?
T master Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 (edited) Rex is playing the guy out of position isn't he our NT ? He wasn't a NT when Shwartz was here & look at the difference in the D ! It's amazing what a coaching change can do !! Edited December 12, 2016 by T master
Blokestradamus Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Dareus has been an absolute beast since returning from his suspension. Now he's the problem? Easier to blame the unpopular guy.
CountDorkula Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Easier to blame the unpopular guy. TBD Blame game. Does player have large contract? Blame him.
BringBackOrton Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 TBD Blame game. Does player have large contract? Blame him. Does he have no respect for his team and the organization? Does he have a discipline problem? Does he give a !@#$ when he lets his team down? Blame him.
mabden Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Using very high draft picks for guys like this, then later giving big money to him, is a recipe for disaster. Zero character, total loser. When Brett Farve lost his father, he dedicated his season to him. When Marcel's half brother died, the big M took his entire 2nd season off. Multiple suspensions, often out of shape, loser squared. His performance today was typical of the absolute loser he is. Needing him to come up big, he takes the day off. He was manhandled today, often in one on one situations. It's so hard to root for this team, and it's made much harder when their "star" players are so lacking in character. Show Dareus the door and give his paycheck to Kyle Williams.
CountDorkula Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Does he have no respect for his team and the organization? Does he have a discipline problem? Does he give a !@#$ when he lets his team down? Blame him. Because he is the first and will be the last Bill to ever be suspended. (Heavy sarcasm intended) Show Dareus the door and give his paycheck to Kyle Williams. Yea great idea. (Heavy sarcasm intended)
Blokestradamus Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 TBD Blame game. Does player have large contract? Blame him. Or: Does he want a large contract? Blame him.
BringBackOrton Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Because he is the first and will be the last Bill to ever be suspended. (Heavy sarcasm intended) Yea great idea. (Heavy sarcasm intended) "Other losers and degenerates do it, so it's okay!" Nice.
rant_and_go Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Cutting Dareus will be letting him off easy. Hold him accountable. Force him to earn every dime of his money owed. Good staff will do that.
MarkyMannn Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 ?? - Dareus played pretty well today and made a number of good stops late. They were double teaming a lot of the game too. How did Leveon Bell play yesterday? And we can say individuals on the D played good?
MAJBobby Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Maybe our genius should have understood Marcel best play is when he is one gapping and adjust his scheme to fit the players Talents. but that would be too hard for a genius
dave mcbride Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 How did Leveon Bell play yesterday? And we can say individuals on the D played good? You can if you watched the game. He was double teamed constantly and the rest of the guys out there couldn't hold up their end of the bargain. Washington, Douzable, and Worthy were brutal. Gilmore and Dareus played well yesterday, and Lorax and Z Brown made a couple of nice plays in the passing game. But when 5 guys or so out of the front seven play terribly and you're guarding against the pass because your secondary is shaky, the whole unit looks bad. That doesn't mean that individuals didn't play well. Good teams like the Steelers pinpoint and expose weaknesses. The Bills had many yesterday, but Dareus really wasn't one of them. They sorely missed Kyle Williams.
PO16FFS Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Dareus is a beast since his suspension..Especially those 3 injured games and the one game where he sat in the 4rth quarter. Complete Beast. Gilmore played well yesterday? Was because he was gifted that Ben pass? The whole team played like sh.it. Everyone.
