Buffalo Barbarian Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Tired of halfass measures time to excise and irradiate the Ralph cancers that remain Could not agree more. Pegula should have learned from his mistakes with the Sabres but apparently not. He should have cleaned house when he got here but hopefully he does know.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 How much of the Ravens success is Oz and how much does he deserve? I'm all for complete control but i don't know enough about these guys to say who would deserve it. For argument sake, he has never had to deal with QB purgatory and is the same person who brought TT in to Baltimore...
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted December 11, 2016 Author Posted December 11, 2016 Ohhhh....I thought you were serious with this idea. You got me. What's not serious about it? The dollars or control
stony Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 DeCosta is popular because people think Newsome is the best in the business. Doesn't mean he'll have success on his own. The Belichick Tree kinda sucks.
r00tabaga Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 1) purge of any former/current flutie or TT fans. That'd go a long way Assistant GM in Baltimore You can't blame posters for being fans of their teams QB. There's nothing wrong with hope. Instead of improving, like we all hoped... he actually regressed, like some others had hoped.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted December 11, 2016 Author Posted December 11, 2016 DeCosta is popular because people think Newsome is the best in the business. Doesn't mean he'll have success on his own. The Belichick Tree kinda sucks. Could he be worse than what we have? Doubt it.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Could he be worse than what we have? Doubt it. 9-7 last year and a similar record this year. Yes, it could absolutely be worse
GunnerBill Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 9-7 last year and a similar record this year. Yes, it could absolutely be worse We were 8-8 last year. We were 9-7 the year before the clown show arrived.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted December 11, 2016 Author Posted December 11, 2016 9-7 last year and a similar record this year. Yes, it could absolutely be worse Hoo. I'm not so sure about that.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Have you seen the 49ers or Browns? You think their situation isn't worse than ours? Sorry, 8-8 instead of 9-7, you're right
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted December 12, 2016 Author Posted December 12, 2016 Have you seen the 49ers or Browns? You think their situation isn't worse than ours? Sorry, 8-8 instead of 9-7, you're right On topic: are you saying if we bring in a highly qualified and well thought of guy from a winning organization you think it could be worse?
Rico Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 On topic: are you saying if we bring in a highly qualified and well thought of guy from a winning organization you think it could be worse? Depends, Whaley did come from the Steelers. DeCosta doesn't have the stench of Ralph on him, so I would approve.
GunnerBill Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 On topic: are you saying if we bring in a highly qualified and well thought of guy from a winning organization you think it could be worse? Doug Whaley is a highly qualified and well thought of guy from a winning organisation.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted December 12, 2016 Author Posted December 12, 2016 Doug Whaley is a highly qualified and well thought of guy from a winning organisation. Excellent point but he doesn't have complete control.
stony Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Could he be worse than what we have? Doubt it. Maybe, maybe not. I don't want a "Patriots Guy" or a "Ravens Guy." I'm not sold on our "Steelers Guy." If we do clean house, I want a new vision. One thing I agree about with Schopp is, the Bills need to stop acting like we are the Patriots or the Seahawks. We need to start thinking outside the box, act like the underdog for once.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 On topic: are you saying if we bring in a highly qualified and well thought of guy from a winning organization you think it could be worse? I'm saying there is no gaurentee this guy will see the success he has in Baltimore. There is also no way on knowing he'd be more productive than Whaley. I know you're not a Rex guy, and knowing that, aren't you curious to see what our talent would do when put in a position to be successful. I believe there are less talented teams who do as well as the Bills because their coaches use their talent well. The Chiefs, Bucs and Titans all come to mind. Even the Texans have a similar record with what I believe to be far less talent. Maybe I'm a homer, but I'd like to see Whaley stay and have a chance to bring in someone he thinks he can truly work with Maybe, maybe not. I don't want a "Patriots Guy" or a "Ravens Guy." We need to start thinking outside the box, act like the underdog for once. Which is what exactly? Lol Sounds great in theory

EmotionallyUnstable Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Doug Whaley is a highly qualified and well thought of guy from a winning organisation. I feel as if his toes have been stepped on and his talent acquisition is tough to judge based on how players are used
GunnerBill Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Excellent point but he doesn't have complete control. Agree. Whether it is Doug (and I would keep him and think they will but wouldn't be mad if they moved on) or someone else... the next GM must have proper control. He must hire the HC and the HC must report to him.
stony Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 What kind of new vision would you mean Hell if I know, I just wanna stockpile picks.
