JM57 Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 But, he's always good fro at least two 15 yard penalty's, at the absolute worst time. Oh really, he has 32 penalties a season?
H2o Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Oh really, he has 32 penalties a season? No, only 9 this year
TANK2 Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 We should run him out of town. We cant run anybody out of town. It might threaten your goal of missing the playoffs for another fifty years.
DC Tom Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Hughes has had no impact the last 5 weeks or so - any insight on his low productivity the last month? Â He's finally remembered from his days with the Colts that he sucks.
pepsicat17 Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Wow you guys are brutal on a player who's injured and playing out of position.
JM57 Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 No, only 9 this year 9 total or 9 of the 15 yard variety
jahbonas Posted December 11, 2016 Author Posted December 11, 2016 Because he can't use one of his hands he's trying to win with speed around the back edge. Because of that they are simply giving him the edge and blocking him till he's way past the QB. when did he get the hand injury? how bad?
yungmack Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Hughes and Lorax seem to have disappeared with the return of Dareus and Lawson. No idea what that has to do with anything but it's interesting.
jr1 Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 it would be funny if the reason was something like he was staying up all night marathoning Netflix series
DC Tom Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Wow you guys are brutal on a player who's injured and playing out of position. Â We're no different with the players who are healthy and playing in position. Â We hate everyone equally.
dave mcbride Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 My bet is hand injury. i'm no fan of hughes...but if i'm not mistaken, early part of season he was a league leader in QB pressures. lately, not so much.his signature impact is the tomahawk chop, strip, sack, fumble, tdunfortunately he gets way more penalties than any of those.if he played for the hoodie in new England, his lack of discipline would get his azz cut, in buffalo he is rewarded with a massive 5 yr $45 mil deal. He's hurt. Pretty simple explanation for the decline. Bills fans don't factor it in enough.
Captain_Quint Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 My bet is hand injury. Â He's hurt. Pretty simple explanation for the decline. Bills fans don't factor it in enough. Wouldnt surprise me if its something that we find out later on that hes played with all season and has to have offseason surgery.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Line em up, pin em back and send 4-5, Rex. It's hard to get to the QB double teamed by two OL when only rushing 3 defenders
Bookie Man Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Hasn't been the same since he bit his tongue....
Blokestradamus Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 No shock that with Jerry being less effective, Lorenzo has all but disappeared as a rusher. It's not like Jerry's been awful this year, his 37 hurries lead the team by some distance.
gjv001 Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Not withstanding his occasional bonehead personal foul, Hughes is our best defensive player.
Agent 91 Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 We should run him out of town. Put 40 pounds on him and let him wear number 94
dave mcbride Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Wouldnt surprise me if its something that we find out later on that hes played with all season and has to have offseason surgery. Yup. Remember when everyone thought Kyle Williams had started to suck but the real reason was the bone spur problem? Or Robert Woods' speed decline last year or Hogan's suddenly shaky hands? Both were due to injuries--torn groin muscle and wrist ligament tear. Heck, even Jim Kelly's mid-season downward spiral after a sensational start to the 1992 season was because of a ruptured bursar sac. There are a ton of injuries in the NFL, needless to say, and player performance is definitely often affected. Hughes is one in a very, very long line. He was phenomenal out of the gate this season.
