Cripple Creek Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 2. I believe LorAx accused the team (generally) of being mentally weak after last week, causing Rex to get a lot of questions about it immediately in the post-game. That probably pissed him off. Bullies always run from a direct challenge & Rex is a bully.
Niagara Bill Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Lorax was 100% correct you are right on. The only leadership publically shown. He brought Lorax here to be a leader and then maybe punishes him????? Rex is a players coach and doesn't want his players to get their feelings hurt.
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 you are right on. The only leadership publically shown. He brought Lorax here to be a leader and then maybe punishes him????? Rex is a players coach and doesn't want his players to get their feelings hurt. Cuz calling your teammates out in the media is leadership...
Cripple Creek Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Cuz calling your teammates out in the media is leadership... Yeah, being a kitty cat is much better.
4merper4mer Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 It's not about whether Lorax was right, it's more about whether you will keep your cool and have the team/Rex's back when his policy is to always have yours. Maybe he is too dumb to realize Rex always has his back. not Preston Brown level dumb, just regular dumb.
MAJBobby Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Why is Rex starting Shaq Lawson over the top sack leader Lorenzo Alexander???? WTF is wrong with Rex' head Shaq has played well. Alexander started struggling. Shaq's play earned the start. Doesn't mean Alexander's snaps fall off the cliff either
87168 Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Cuz calling your teammates out in the media is leadership... he didnt call out his teammates (as if he singled them out) he called out the team's mentality. that includes himself, his teammates and the coaching staff....they've been saying for multiple seasons "culture change", yet here we are.
The Tomcat Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Lorax the vet seems like he has been running on fumes the last few games. Shaq is improving week to week. I like this decision. I 2nd this motion
BADOLBILZ Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 The D has somehow gotten worse since prized players Dareus and Shaq got back on the field. Need to start seeing some results this week, KW or not.
BmarvB Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Playing defense and special teams is wearing Alexander down. Lawson does need to get more playing time, and Lorax needs a break.
boyst Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Lorax was right but he is a product of the system
MDH Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Because that's what matters, right? Eff Rex. I'm not Rex fan but yeah, having each other's backs is an important part of being a team.
YoloinOhio Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 you are right on. The only leadership publically shown. He brought Lorax here to be a leader and then maybe punishes him????? Rex is a players coach and doesn't want his players to get their feelings hurt. if you think he is "punishing him" I just don't get that at all. I've said from the beginning that Shaq's injury and Zo's breakout coincided almost perfectly, timing wise. Shaq had been expected to start and Zo had been expected to be a depth edge rusher and primarily ST player. Not only had he never started, he never played snaps like he did the first half of this season at the ripe age of 33. With Shaq coming back halfway through it allowed Rex to ease him in slowly as he had no TC until he could handle and effectively manage starting reps. Regardless of whether he's out there the first play it's about who is getting the most reps across from Hughes. Now we have a fresh, hungry rookie out there as we can get Zo back to normalcy for his age and body. He's not super man. He will be less effective, not more effective, with more reps.
Freddie's Dead Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Payin' Jerry too much to sit, Shaq is the #1 pick, so Lorax is odd man out. Theoretically, Lorax should be fresher, but there's something to be said for getting into a rhythm. We'll see how it works out.
