H2o Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) To get paid: “Personally my season is going really well,” said Brown in a recent appearance on Bills flagship station WGR Sportsradio 550. “Playing good and up to my expectations it can’t get any better. I’ve got a great group of guys around me so it’s going real good. “I’m playing to win, but at the same time you have to play for yourself and your pride. Play in a way where I’m seen as one of the best at my position.” http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Bills-Today-Shaq-Lawson-to-start-Sunday/9d4f8864-65a3-439e-b636-e5a4e53e3f75 Can't say I blame him because you do need to make the most of your opportunities in life, but I have the feeling we are not going to be able to keep him. Beef Jerky Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Let them all walk and rack up a bunch of 3rd round compensatory picks.
MAJBobby Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 See him at about a 5M a year guy. Something like 5 years 25M, 13M guaranteed
John from Riverside Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Good thing were getting Ragland back? I still would not immediately assume Z. Brown gone......he is a journeyman lb who has not played well in other schemes.

Actually he played very well at Tenn. his issue was he was thought of as undersized and not a 3 down LBer However I could see his contract outdoing Danny Trevathan's he got this year. I can see home getting 6.5 M a year and beating Danny Trevathan from last year. Edited December 7, 2016 by MAJBobby
26CornerBlitz Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 The biggest thing holding Zach Brown back before this season was his inability to stay on the field. He's definitely earning his way into a nice deal.
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 See him at about a 5M a year guy. Something like 5 years 25M, 13M guaranteed Agreed - would def be good for a solid comp pick. Him + woods + gilmore may be a couple 3s or 4s. And considering we don't have a ton of space to sign impact free agents, I'd think we'd want to get all 3 of those picks. Assuming we bottom out next year with still having no QB, limited receivers, and holes on defense, itll be nice to go into the 2018 draft with hopefully a couple of extra picks in those mid rounds. You can trade them now too, so its like having a bit of extra ammo.

Example it has caused teams to evaluate their own differently look at Dolphins. Removed the Transition Tag off their DE so they could get the Pick when giants offered him. The Pick they missed out on when we signed Clay because they had the TT on him when the deal came in.

You know anyone signing him is going to make it hard for you to match.

C.Biscuit97 Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Good for him. He's been a great addition for his price but I won't go crazy re-signing him. He is very replaceable.
