Is Getting Joe Thomas Still Laughable?

I find it funny you think his trade Value is a 5th or 6th actually.

Try 2ns or multiple 3rds

You gonna let that slide BADOL? There was a spelling error here

+Thomas is at the end of his career. He's the anchor of a line that, what, 4,5 QBs have been injured behind this season alone? They can keep him because no team will give them a first round pick for a guy with a year or two left.

As for Hue--they can keep him too. He's long been eating lunch for free off of a single 8-8 season years ago in OAK. Haven't we learned enough about flash in the pan HC's by now? Also, first Hue thought the best QB to draft was Goff, then he decided, along with the Mets guy, that they didn't need to draft a QB and should go to war with...RG3.

Jackson's HC chops are pure myth.

It's 2nd with a D, MAJBobby.

But actually that is not a spelling error, it's a typing error.

And meaning to type "dominant" and instead typing "dominate" isn't a spelling error either.

My point was that recently people here very often use "dominate"........thinking that the spelling sounds like dom-in-it.......which they think they hear when people are saying "dominant".

It's possible the OP wasn't really sure which was the right choice of words or it's possible that it was typed wrong and thus not auto-corrected as the OP intended.

But not a spelling error.

Btw it's also self-of-steam not self esteem.

I am a believer that sometimes it is better to build a dominate unit rather than fill needs. Joe Thomas's trade value is probably at an all-time low. I wouldn't be surprised if could be had for a 5th or a 6th. The Browns may flat out release him. So why not pursue this option for RT. He is making $10 million per for two more seasons, which I know is a lot for RT, but you would have maybe the best RT in the game. We would immediately go from a very good offensive line to a great to dominant one. I think this could improve the offensive consistency greatly.

MAJBobby is correct. Getting Joe Thomas for a day 3 pick is a joke. The Browns probably wouldn't trade him at all, but if they did it would require a 1st plus more. The Bills are better off making RT a priority in the offseason - either via free agency or in the draft.

And this is insane, if true. If that's what the Browns are demanding for this guy....well, this is why their brain trust has watched them actually get worse this year. And it's why no one has traded for ol' Joe Thomas.

Denver offered a first for Thomas two seasons ago. The Browns wanted more so the deal didn't get done. And it's definitely not insane to ask for a first plus more for the best LT in football. The Browns don't have many quality vets to build around so why should they let their best player go for something less than what they would need to replace him? If they do find a QB somewhere, Thomas will be huge in giving him a chance to develop. Why throw that away?
