26CornerBlitz Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 @RealFootballTV Q: Should Cutler be a Bear in '17? A:https://goo.gl/CTtXbQ Cutler: Sacked once every 9 passes Hoyer & Barkley: Once every 55 #FeedDaBears
stony Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 (edited) My range of emotions as I read your post. Thanks for the laugh. You sirs, are welcome. A bit hungover from seeing some long lost friends last night. Thought I'd spice things up while staring blankly at my computer screen. Edited December 2, 2016 by stony
Willyville Guy Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 (edited) With the worst defense in the NFL. would you pass on Bree's? Cutler threw a league-leading 18 picks that year with arguably the best group of receivers in the NFL and a perfectly serviceable line. He's no Drew Brees. Edited December 2, 2016 by Willyville Guy
yungmack Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 The comparison to Fitz is the greatest Cutler analogy I've ever heard. I think we're save anyway, Kirsten Cavalleri or whatever her name is isn't going to come to Buffalo.I'd take Fitz everyday over Cutler.
Fadingpain Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 You sirs, are welcome. A bit hungover from seeing some long lost friends last night. Thought I'd spice things up while staring blankly at my computer screen. You troll! Ban this man from the forum!
BringBackOrton Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 Cutler threw a league-leading 18 picks that year with arguably the best the group of receivers in the NFL and a perfectly serviceable line. He's no Drew Brees. Brees led the league in picks only 2 years prior. You're reaching.
Kirby Jackson Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 Brees led the league in picks only 2 years prior. You're reaching. Wait are you trying to compare Cutler to Drew Brees?
shane nelson Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 Great call, let's sign him and convert him into a extra point kicker. We could sign him week to week based on weather conditions.
Willyville Guy Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 Brees led the league in picks only 2 years prior. You're reaching. I think I'm placing greater emphasis on the talent around them during the years in questions. Cutler should have done better in that offense, and instead he threw way too many picks... many at the worst possible time. I'm okay with agreeing to disagree about Brees versus Cutler.
Herb62 Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 Isn't that sorta what a touch pass is? Hence the words 'touch pass' Maybe a full offseason with Anthony Lynn and a healthy WR corp will help. I think in fairness these are all factors, I still believe they should pick up his contract option.
PromoTheRobot Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 Um, have you ever seen Jay Cutler play football?Seen him throw TD once in ESPN highlight. Assumes he must be great.
Samwell Tarly Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 http://www.borntoworkout.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Jay-Cutler-Shoulder-Workout.jpg Sign him up!!!
Ron Burgundy Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 (edited) There are many teams that could be better with Cutler--Cleveland, Houston, NYJ, Cinci, SF, LA, Minnesota, Denver, and Washington (yea, I said it, Cousins is way overrated) would all be better with a healthy Cutler. There's no way, none, that he is better than Cousins. Even if you think he is overrated Cousins would still be better than Cutler. The rest is mostly true in my estimation. I also think Cutler would be good as a back-up if he'd agree to that pay. I doubt he would or will, someone will offer him stupid money. Edited December 2, 2016 by Ron Burgundy
MAJBobby Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 (edited) As much as I do not want to pick up Taylor's option. I would take it every day and twice on Sunday over acquiring Cutler. Heck I would start EJ and Cardale over acquiring Cutler Edited December 2, 2016 by MAJBobby
Alphadawg7 Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 In 2014 he had Forte, Marshall, Jeffrey, and Martellus Bennett -- and his team went 5-11. Pass. Does anyone really need to say more than this? I mean come on...Cutler, who's never been very good and who also has the luxury of having his best years behind him now with the triple bonus of being injury prone...and wait for it...the grand slam 4th super mega bonus of being a terrible leader that divides locker rooms because half his teammates just genuinely don't like the guy.
Simon Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 I'd say he might fall in right behind Ryan Leaf as the biggest waste of physical talent I've ever seen at the QB position.
Fixxxer Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 http://smokinjaycutler.tumblr.com/ http://sportsmockery.com/2015/05/smokin-jay-cutler-the-most-apathetic-looking-athlete-in-sports/ https://es.pinterest.com/explore/smokin-jay-cutler/ About bringing and paying Cutler as a franchise QB, hell no. Bring him to compete for a roster spot at a reasonable salary, mabye.
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 (edited) Jay also has diabetes so part of the glum look might just be a blood sugar issue. That narrative gets way overblown. I don't think blood sugar issues give a guy resting b face. It's probably his lack of desire to play football, and his ability to blame everyone but himself when he turns the ball over.
