Gavin in Va Beach Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Man, greatest receiver ever and he was released. Should have retired a year or two ago on his own terms. Sometimes Jerry, the mind is willing but the body is weak.

That said, if he's really interested in that and is willing to no longer be the #1 or #2 receiver, he should consider coaching.
LabattBlue Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 JP-era is not going to like this. Players are getting released and threads started about them before he gets the chance to announce that they have been released and the Bills should consider signing them.
The Poojer Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 He needs to sign a one-day contract with the 9ers, and then retire gracefully n/m 253088[/snapback]
Mile High Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Who's going to be the first one to post a p/u Jerry Rice thread?
scribo Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Would he make a decent #3? Just kidding. Someone had to say it.
The Tomcat Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Maybe not a 3 but a good 4, great 5.......
cåblelady Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 That sucks. My son will be upset. Guess I won't tell him.
ROSCOE P. COE TRAIN Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 yeah, he will only play if he can start. he will not play the 3rd guy. the west coast off. teams are his only option, and those that play on grass. detroit is out, green bay is too cold. tampa and gruden can't take another old bastard like in brown last season. san fran no way. seattle bye bye. so where does he go? he is done.
