It would be good for NFL to allow this to be done in other games as long as the cleats did not have commercial advertising on them; would not want players to start looking like NASCAR cars unless NFL made money that way.

But later Monday, NFL senior vice president of communications Natalie Ravitz told ESPN that the league had reversed course. "We have spoken to both the Titans and Browns," Ravitz said. "Players from the two teams on a bye last week can participate in My Cause/My Cleats in Week 14."
