#34fan Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 (edited) Sounds like another offensive piece our coaching staff has NO CLUE what to do with, and no intention of using once they figure it out... Go ahead, and prove me wrong, Rex. Edited December 4, 2016 by #34fan
BADOLBILZ Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 (edited) It is amazing how hard it has been for the Bills to find a TE. I don't think that the Bills have ever had a TE make a Pro Bowl appearance. That's crazy and almost statistically impossible. I don't know if Thomas will amount to anything but I'm glad that they are trying on him. And the Bills have had A LOT of QB's that really needed a quality TE to raise them up a notch.......guys like Rojo, Bledsoe, Holcomb and Trent who teams just loved to pin their ears back and pass rush. Sooner or later teams usually find a real good one later in the draft but the Bills have really done poorly drafting guys like Lonnie Johnson and Kevin Everitt, the dude with the headaches that they drafted with the other pick in the Jason Peters trade and that Bobby guy that Butler drafted in the 4th or 5th round in the late 90's that was supposed to be a steal of the draft. They haven't really taken many shots but they've missed them all. Tyrod probably needs it the least of any QB they've ever had so maybe this is when they get one. Edited December 4, 2016 by #BADOL

Here are some others that they used a draft pick on since Riemersma (who was decent): Schouman, Fine, Everett, Nelson, O'Leary, O'Leary, Fitzgerald, Gragg, Euhus, Collins and Sheldon Jackson (the guy that painted his finger nails). Those are the TEs that they drafted!!! It's not like those guys were just bad as Bills, none of them had a career elsewhere.

I think they are adapting their TE/WR corps to Taylor now.........he needs big targets.

Wow O'Leary twice - watch out for cows especially since Nick has not played for any external team. Everett never had a chance to go elsewhere and Gragg seemed to be doing okay although not superstar and would be starting IF not for a cheap shot.

That was a shaky pick at the time and he was showing nada outside of special teams. Gragg is probably the best receiver they've drafted outside of Riemersma but that ain't saying much. Gragg types come and go for most teams.

Everett may have had a chance. Gragg is a #3 TE on a team that has never found a TE. He's not terrible but he's not good.

He's not terrible but he's not good. I saw just about every game Everett played at Miami. No ball skills. Terrible draft pick. Gragg is much better......that was a good shot taken in the draft at a talented guy........ but as you said he's a #3.
