26CornerBlitz Posted November 30, 2016 Author Posted November 30, 2016 @JoeBuscaglia It's hard to ignore the potential of TE Logan Thomas, who the #Bills signed today. Full thoughts here: https://t.co/Hxwrbf5iiI
Doc Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Interesting. Didn't realize he literally (i.e. this past weekend) just decided to make the switch to TE and was signed to the Lions' PS. So he hasn't practiced at TE at all since High School. Let's hope the project works out.

Rodak By rule, the Bills will be required to carry TE Logan Thomas on their 53-man roster for the next three weeks because they signed him off another team's practice squad.
manbeast Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 I smell a trick play coming. What's his hard count like? I was thinking the same think but not the hard count we have the best Hard count specialist in the NFL. Surprises me that this is an active roster move. Seems like more of an offseason thing. @Cianaf Cian Fahey Retweeted Peter Schrager Good luck replicating what Pryor has done. Suspect he'll be the exception rather than the rule. We stole him from the Lions who just signed him to their practice squad I guess he has to remain on the active roster for 3 weeks but I think he will likely stay for the season to protect him. I like the potential and at 6'6" I think TT might see him better. Interesting. Let's hope the project works out. We had a great switch from TE to LT once. Our new regime probably would have re-signed Peters.
The Frankish Reich Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 I saw in the Wall Street Journal this morning (of all places) that Thomas signed with the Lions as a TE: http://www.wsj.com/articles/logan-thomas-is-switching-from-qb-to-tight-end-1480372038 The ink was barely dry and he was already on the Bills. I like it ... sometimes you have to create the big/tall WR/TE out of a QB or a basketball player since there just aren't that many tremendous athletes of that size.
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Hey - they told him you'll never be an NFL qb, but we like you as a TE. So he decided to become a Te, shows more passion than most...

Drafted as a quarterback two years ago, Thomas is transitioning to the tight end position. Thomas (6-6, 250) was drafted out of Virginia Tech as a quarterback by the Arizona Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL draft. He appeared in two games for the Cardinals in his rookie season completing one of eight pass attempts for 81 yards and a touchdown. 26CornerBlitz Posted November 30, 2016 Author Posted November 30, 2016 @AroundTheNFL Rex Ryan: Bills 'taking a shot' on Logan Thomas after position change from QB to TE http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000748940/article/bills-taking-a-shot-on-logan-thomas-after-switch-to-te When Thomas entered the NFL some teams viewed him as a tight end. After failing to hang on as a quarterback with the Cardinals, Dolphins and Giants, Thomas admitted a position change was his best shot as at an NFL career. "I mean, it's been two years, 2.5 years, I guess, and not much has built for me," Thomas said Monday, via the Detroit Free Press. "I've been blessed with a lot of opportunity and the size, speed and athleticism that I was given to by God. Me, my family and people representing me felt like it was time to make the move." The success of an athletic player like Terrelle Pryor moving from quarterback to pass-catcher has been instructive for Thomas. Position switches are notoriously difficult in the NFL, but Thomas has the size and potential the Bills felt was worth a roster spot. @JoshNorris With Logan Thomas moving to TE, here is his athletic profile via @mockdraftable #Lions

Saxum Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 I don't like the bringing up of a DT... Why? They had to put one on IR. I'm hoping it doesn't have anything to do with MD's availability I doubt it. I think it's just because they like to rotate their defensive tackles and they had to put Bryant on IR. Except Bryant has been inactive last few weeks with injury so this is not bringing in a DT to replace him unless he is going to inactive and they just want to give him a little more money.
