MDH Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 huge factor and the WIN or is that not the goal? is he on your fantasy team????? yes Powell, Tate, Hunter, enter waiver wire player here ________________ could be ripping it up if the would be hit in stride Those stats are for the season, so you can include Woods. The Bills were also last in the league in YAC yards last year and 31st in YAC/R. Are Powell, Tate and Hunter to blame for that too?
EmotionallyUnstable Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 The Bills are last in the league in YAC yards and 31st in the league in YAC/R. Yeah, TT isn't putting players in a position to break big plays after the catch. https://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/team-yards-after-catch-statistics/2016/ I'm not sure this is just TT. It's schematic as well. How frequently do you see a Bills receiver catch a hitch, turn and get popped? That isn't on TT, that is a product of the route

EmotionallyUnstable Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 It's a product of not throwing to the middle of the field. Partially. But not solely. Plenty of out breaking routes can be used to get players open and in space.
Billsfan1972 Posted November 28, 2016 Author Posted November 28, 2016 This is no different from last year and watching TT get the LOS and not even look at SW and always have him lined up outside (seldom in the slot). YAC last year was lousy too. A new OC and seems exactly the same playcalling. How the Bills continually rank near the bottom in passing seems to be a result of the most vanilla pass routes & schemes imo.
The Big Cat Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 IT'S NOT THE PLAYCALLING IT'S THE QUARTERBACK ENOUGH WITH BLAMING THE OC
thebandit27 Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 That's the kind of thing that's maddening to me. The Bills cannot possibly enter a game and say "we will try to get Sammy the ball on 3 different plays." That number needs to be closer to 15!! It's on Tyrod IMO...there were many times that Sammy was WIDE open out there today.
RyanC883 Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Tyrod is awful. He's a gadget player. Perhaps he can play RB, backup QB, or WR if we ever get a real QB.
Kirby Jackson Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 It's on Tyrod IMO...there were many times that Sammy was WIDE open out there today.Fair enough and I hope that's the case . If they enter a game without the intention of getting him close to double digit touches, I have a problem.

But if the play is not called for him and he is the third checkdown it's too late. He should be the primary or #2 option. 18 throws (19 if you include the PI and he was targeted 22% of the time). Again this is a replay from 2015.

Then how come we keep running all these plays in which the primary option is covered and the other three guys are wide open?
Billsfan1972 Posted November 28, 2016 Author Posted November 28, 2016 Every QB and Offense in the league is capable of a 300 yard passing game but the Bills. Makes absolutely no sense.
The Big Cat Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Every QB and Offense in the league is capable of a 300 yard passing game but the Bills. Makes absolutely no sense. Doesn't make sense? The QB stinks. It's not that difficult.
Billsfan1972 Posted November 28, 2016 Author Posted November 28, 2016 Doesn't make sense? The QB stinks. It's not that difficult. More then the QB. The OC and schemes are terrible too.
The Big Cat Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 More then the QB. The OC and schemes are terrible too. Sure.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Watkins looked good in a limited role. Let's hope Robert Woods is back next week. It would be nice to hit the Raiders with a high power run game and a complete arsenal of receivers.
klos63 Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 More then the QB. The OC and schemes are terrible too. I don't know, i think people just like using the word 'schemes'. It sounds intelligent.
Augie Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 I don't know, i think people just like using the word 'schemes'. It sounds intelligent. It's better than "skeemz".
Maury Ballstein Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 I don't know, i think people just like using the word 'schemes'. It sounds intelligent. Lol. TT's #1 fan says the schemes prevent him from making plays
MAJBobby Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 QB and offensive 1970s philosophy is what keeps the Bills from 300 yards games (not that 300 really matters to me) having a modern NFL offense and not a USMA offense does though.
