fast*eddie Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Why not try the 2 Point Conversion all the time . If you make it 50 percent of the time you break even . It sure would be better than missed point afters !
John in Jax Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Well, yeah, if you've got a chump for a kicker, sure.
8-8 Forever? Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 I would think Bills would be way above .500 on two pointers .. they are built to run that play.
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Math says to go for it every time now.
TakeYouToTasker Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Because you don't play averages, you play games.
Beef Jerky Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Because you don't play averages, you play games. Actually coaches do this...
TakeYouToTasker Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Actually coaches do this...Not in the NFL, and not even in major college programs.
qwksilver Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 (edited) Plus all the times you fail, it's a momentum let down. We scored a TD but only up by 6.... Edited November 27, 2016 by qwksilver

It sure would be better than missed point afters ! I don't think you can blanket 50% all the time. In the first half of today's game, the Bills offense played terribly and it made sense to not push their luck on their first score. If you're offense is rolling and guys are winning their battles, then I think you start going for two and passing up the PAT. But blindly going for it all the time and I don't think you get the 50% success rate.

I dont think I want to try it in that situation. You would be risking momentum loss as previously mentioned. Its a fair question though.
Leroi Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 (edited) If they go for 2 and are unsuccessful blame falls on the coach. If they kick the extra point and miss blame goes to the kicker. Coaches prefer the blame be deflected off of them. So most are hesitant. Imo Edited November 28, 2016 by Leroi
BillsFan130 Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 I get your point but it can also backfire big time. Look at pittsburgh 2 weeks ago against Dallas. Think they missed it 4 times in a row and lost by 4 points
dulles Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Actually coaches do this... No, coaches don't play the games, players do! What's next Eddie, never punt? Always onside kick.
