Webster Guy Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 (edited) Remember last year near the end of the season when Roman called Tyrod runs more frequently? I was surprised to see Lynn starting up that trend again last game. TT has taken some major hits these past few weeks, and Lynn needs to back off on the option and designed runs or we're going to lose our qb. His style of play guarantees he'll be taking hits regardless, and we'll still get plenty of first downs with his legs. If I were Lynn I'd push Tyrod to stay in the pocket ONE second longer and learn to step up and throw with the proper footing instead of the usual, one read and i'm scrambling then throwing on the run in space. He has solid pocket presence and a good enough line to give him time. The other added bonus for staying in the pocket is the Drew Brees factor--if you slide up in the pocket you usually have less people to see over and clearer look downfield. Either way he's taking hits, I'd rather see him do it hanging in the pocket and slinging it than running college style option plays that no NFL qb can sustain. Edited November 23, 2016 by Webster Guy
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 It helps keep the defense on their heels - especially once we were out two of our better playmakers. But i feel what you're saying. Maybe a bit more read-option instead of the triple option stuff.
prissythecat Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 But EJ in for the QB running plays! I like that idea. Its Thanksgiving week. So we can have someone who runs like a turkey take off and try to gain some yards.

26CornerBlitz Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 @PrescottRossi Tyrod Taylor said he took a few hits in the Cincy game but his sore shoulder feels fine.
C.Biscuit97 Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 They have to move the chains some how and it hasn't been by passing. If Taylor doesn't run, he really doesn't have much value. If he becomes a better passer, then you limit his runs. But right now, we are a very bad offense if TT isnt using his legs.
Leroi Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Wouldn't be ironic if Tyrod injures himself early in the game and our backup has to play. What goes around, comes around. That would be some karma right there and would only prove our destiny. Imo

Leroi Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Karma? What karma do the Bills still deserve? Karma is related to luck. There is no good karma or bad karma just karma, similar to luck. You don't earn karma, it falls upon you, silently. Imo
Rockinon Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Karma? What karma do the Bills still deserve? AMEN
Saxum Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Karma? What karma do the Bills still deserve? Hiring Leroi to work in locker room is all the bad karma any team needs.
