boyst Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Tom nailed it. Rock and roll Hall of fame is terribly overrated and overpriced. The wrong groups are also in if you care about music. The lake has some great areas and other areas not so nice. Avoid the flats, Euclid, and areas south east if my compass is correct in my memory. Options: Canton isn't far. Pro football HOF. The Christ!as story house is there, no idea where though. Just remember that. Jack is right. Science center and great lakes center They built casino not too awful long ago There is a navy boat or submarine The architecture is also really cool.
ChevyVanMiller Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Spent a few days in Cleveland a few years ago. Really loved the art museum, great paintings and no charge to tour. My favorite place in Cleveland though was The Christmas Story Museum. It is the actual house from the movie that was used for exterior shots. The inside has been redone to look exactly like the rooms from the flick. After the tour guide gives you a brief history you are turned loose to explore the house. It's all there, dad's wrapped bowling ball, the Lifebuoy soap, the Little Orphan Annie decoder ring, Randy's spot under the sink and, of course Ralphie's Red Ryder BB Gun. We had a blast. http://www.achristmasstoryhouse.com
4merper4mer Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Based on the song I'd say West 6th Street Ryan. Sounds like a perfect fit.

Maury Ballstein Posted November 23, 2016 Author Posted November 23, 2016 Haha. I have eaten at "sushi rocks," where the d-bags go to eat! You still have that pink polo with the white banana republic pants ?
Johnny Hammersticks Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 There was this lovely Olive Garden near the Cleveland Clinic...
Best Player Available Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 skip cleveland drive to Chardon Ohio. in and around Amish country and buy some of their awesome pies. Time better spent than the silly corporate/political R&R HOF. Exhibitionism now opening in NYC and is money better spent on R&R history. Stuff Micks pants with more $$$$$.
Beef Jerky Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 The faster you can leave Cleveland the better.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 You still have that pink polo with the white banana republic pants ? With my aviators on.
GaryPinC Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 (edited) As a Clevelander, my vote is for the art museum, USS cod (submarine) and hang out in Ohio City to eat/drink (W 25th and Lorain). Great Lakes Brewery, Bar Cento (great pizza), Bier Market and a number of others are easy walking distance. The west side market (farmer's market) is also at the corner of 25th and Lorain. http://westsidemarket.org/ Lots to see and do in here with specialty produce and some decent food too. Noodlecats has some good soups there unless you go to the Souper Market just around the corner. http://www.thesoupermarket.com/#welcome-to-soupermarket Town Hall is one of my favorites right down there as it has a lot of beers, tasty and unique menu and good crowd. Highly recommend the prosciutto-wrapped dates appetizer. http://www.townhallohiocity.com/food-drink/ Lots of bars and stuff to pick from down there and it's all good. Enjoy! GaryPinC Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 (edited) Most is close to " the q" ? Yea, it's only about a mile and a half to the Q from there. Just have to walk across the Lorain/Carnegie bridge which will be fun with the temps, wind, and possible rain, but very doable. There's also an RTA station right there so you could hop a bus to tower city which would take about 15 minutes. Best place to park in Ohio city is the West Side market lot on the east side of the market. It may still be free but they redid it with plans to start charging. This link does well to show it: http://westsidemarket.org/location-and-directions/parkinganddirections/ Btw, the art museum is a good 20 minute drive away. Cod is a little over a mile away. Unfortunately, I am taking a break from cougar hunting for a while. It is a favorite pastime of mine but I got all normal and starting dating one girl for the last half a year or so.
