NoSaint Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Nfw jaylon smith plays why activate him then?
BaaadThingsMan Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Idk. Jurrah bein jurrah. I'm right, you're wrong? Something like that?
MAJBobby Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 (edited) why activate him then? They will let him practice for 3 weeks then IR Him. Activating him off the list gives them another 3 weeks to evaluate. Smith, the teams second-round pick this year, has not been on the field since suffering a serious knee injury in Notre Dames bowl game at the end of last season and is still suffering from nerve damage that has clouded his prospects beyond this year. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Monday that the team plans to activate him from the NFI list, which gives them three more weeks to decide if they are going to shut him down for the year. It sounds as if thats the likeliest outcome given that Jones doesnt think Smith will actually start practicing during the three-week window. That doesnt mean anything will change with Jaylon in terms of his routine, Jones said on 105.3 The Fan, via the Dallas Morning News. I dont actually see him [returning to the field], even though hes eligible to practice just to extend your period. If we werent to activate him, then they would certainly be done if they dont start practicing. Bills could do the same with Easley and Listenbee if they thought they could be used at some point in a playoff push. Activate them and extend the deadline 3 weeks In essence if they are not off the list this week they are done for the year. So by taking Smith off the list they get 3 more weeks of roster exemption to finalize the decision to IR him. Smart Edited November 21, 2016 by MAJBobby
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 3 weeks to decide... but if he's not going to play - its tough to waste a roster spot on the 53.
Jauronimo Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 If they bring back Jaylon Smith does that mean they have to deactivate Romo again?
MAJBobby Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 3 weeks to decide... but if he's not going to play - its tough to waste a roster spot on the 53. They get a roster exemption for 3 weeks they don't have to lose anyone.
26CornerBlitz Posted November 21, 2016 Author Posted November 21, 2016 If they bring back Jaylon Smith does that mean they have to deactivate Romo again? After they bring back Jimmy Johnson to run things.
The Poojer Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Maybe they're looking to dump Elliott. Why else make this move.
realtruelove Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Maybe they're looking to dump Elliott. Why else make this move. Or maybe Zeke is going to be suspended.
Mr. WEO Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 3 weeks to decide... but if he's not going to play - its tough to waste a roster spot on the 53. Are you asking why waste a roster spot on an injured WR?

Marty McFly Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Maybe they're looking to dump Elliott. Why else make this move. That team is gonna be fun to watch in the playoffs. You know we are an average team. But this roster has the most exciting roster/playmakers than we have had since Bledsoe. The offense doesnt always click but when they do we have the coolest offense in the league. Not the best at all but we run the most options and different formations.
Mr. WEO Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 With McFadden activated, they can rest Elliot....because anyone can get 2000 yards behind that line, right?
prissythecat Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 With McFadden activated, they can rest Elliot....because anyone can get 2000 yards behind that line, right? There have been many entertaining takes over the years on this board: 1) Stevie Johnson benefited from Lee Evans acting as decoy . 2) Sports Agents Todd France is likely going to be football czar for Bills ; He know what a good front office looks like being an agent . 3) Marrone ruined EJ and all EJ needs is a fresh start . 4) Colin Kaepernick is just having a down year in 2014 and will quickly bounce back. 5) Carlos Williams is key to the Bills success in 2016 6) Bills made bad decision not hiring Lovie Smith 7) Mario for Skelton 8) All the Tebow threads 9) Bills should have drafted Clausen 10)
