Phlegm Alley Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Coles for Moss To me, this trade makes no sense for either team. They are essentially swapping number 1 recievers. I like the way that Moss has come on in the last couple of years. WTF?
Puhonix Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 This does sound redundant, all is does is give the whiner Coles what he wants.
Phlegm Alley Posted February 25, 2005 Author Posted February 25, 2005 Moss is coming very cheap and if he performs this year for the Skins, he'll get a big payday b/c of Daniel Snyder's deep pockets. Does this make the Jets better or worse at reciever? How much impact could this have on the Bills? Who would you guys rather have on your team?

plenzmd1 Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 cool thing about this trade is the bonus payment. Not sure if I understand this, but it looks like Coles got a $13M contract, with $5m deferred to this year. Still owed to him even if he is cut, but not paid until this year. Redskins saying they want the Jets to pay that $5M , and therefor not count agaisnt their cap. This might be a new way to sign players and still get some flexibility to trade them at a later date. I for one would love to see more trades in the NFL
