Sammy Watkins has a chance to come back and be a hero

Recommended Posts

Since none of you have met Mr Ags you may not be able to know how nice and sincere this man is. Hes passionate, that's for sure but he would go out of his way to make sure you had a cold beer and a full story each at a tailgate. When we recently put down our 15 yr old family dog, it wasn't 20-30 minutes Mr Ags texted me his condolences and asking how i was holding up. Hes a good dude, he is passionate. For those also doubting if he would say these things to a players face, he would. He is built like a tree stump, a 6' tree stump.

Since we already activated Shaq Lawson, Sammy can't be activated unless we DE-activate Lawson. It's a little known rule of the injured reserve clause.

I was going to pmake a thread it was a mistake to have activated Lawson when we needed watkins now

You mean to the people that were tweeting about him being a kitty? The only people angry about that are those that are insecure about their station in life.

I'm not angry about it but I am judging him as an arrogant lil prick. And I love my life. Its a melancholy mix of nonsense that seldom has an upside but it's fun and I'm really really tough.

But, to sit there any seem the world as beneath you because you can catch balls in your hands as a natural talent is no different than a beautiful woman who does porn and catches balls in her mouth. They only take so much talent that isn't naturally given, the rest is just luck and genetics. And by 40 both retire and by 50 both are broke. I really only used this analogy to comoare porn stars to Sammy. But its applicable

This is the toughest thread on TBD. Its a thread for real men. Not for greenhorns.

Now that I'm here.

I find it funny that I have gotten official warning from mods here for calling a post "dumb" before yet some of the stuff I have seen on this board lately is so much worse.

make a funny comment to nervous guy and maybe he'll be nice and take one away. But it can depend on the mod and how he's feeling that day

You and me both. I've gotten two warning points in all my time on this board and in neither of those instances was it anywhere near as bad as the things I routinely see posters say daily.

I had one for engaging in a conversation taking a viewpoint against two other posters and whilst being polite the moderator who agreed with the political slant they took banned me a month and reduced it Edited by Boyst62

Im sorry a little dense on time frames tonight

Given that Watkins was shut down after a small amount of time and reports of no actual structural damage....it would seem to follow that if he gets a positive scan tomorrow then he is actually healthy?

I would think so, yes. If I recall correctly he visited a specialist right after he went on IR and the scan then confirmed that he hadn't re-fractured the foot and didn't require another surgery to insert a larger screw, rather it just wasn't healing very well with his level of activity and that was causing pain. 8 weeks of rest, if he is cleared, should be more than enough time for the foot to be actually healed this time around.

Let's pump the brakes on Sammy coming back at all this season. The guy has proven to be not only a very fragile player, but one who will not/ can not play through pain. I'm waiting to see hwat the excuses are for why he's not playing vs. the Jaguars.

My expectation is the Bills apply a little pressure by mentioning they are "hopeful" to have him back soon, only to be told later in the week that he's a no go for the JAX game. Then prior to the Raiders games Sammy will post some silly, dumb stuff on twitter and by the Raiders game the Bills will announce that Sammy Watkins will be shut down for the remainder of the year.

So far I called the first part of the equation:

Rex Ryan applied the pressure by saying they are hopeful he can play some this week

Now the ball is in Sammy's court. Expect to not see him practice Wednesday, or Thursday and start tweeting divisive things by Friday night.

I think he wants to shut it down, I think the Bills want him to tough it out and I think the Bills are frustrated as hell over it.

1. Interesting insight...did he call people names at the tailgate?

2. I'm not that easily manipulated, am I?....and remember we are only human.

What would lead you to believe this since all that is stopping him from returning to the field is clearance from the Bills medical staff?

Well, apparently, the only reason NOT to call people names to their faces is fear of getting beat up. But since mrags is big and strong it's ok.

Welp, you got that wrong.

Well of course if he is ready but I don't know how a guy who might not even be in football shape can get ready in less then a week.

Even on a limited snap count like Harvin had against Seattle, Watkins would command the attention of Jalen Ramsey.

1. I'm pretty sure he called Gugny, Country Cletus and I gay...

He doesn't filter himself on here, I've told him that. Hes one of the nicest guys you could imagine. He stacks up there with Beerball, Gugny, countrycletus, Rockpile and RosenRosenRosen

2. No, not at all. The thing is it has to actually be funny for you to laugh. Most people aren't funny. They're only funny in their attempts and failures.
