YoloinOhio Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 @rapsheet Tho LeSean McCoy was ruled out, #Bills sources don't seem concerned with what is described as a dislocated thumb (that he couldn't pop back) @profootballtalk Ironically, the harder to relocate, the more stable when back in place. Hope no associated fracture & thus quicker return for @CutonDime25.
Dragonborn10 Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 If no fracture, he might not lose time
26CornerBlitz Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 @ProFootballDoc By video, @CutonDime25 dislocated left thumb IP joint. Unlikely fracture, possibly didn't return due to open injury.
YoloinOhio Posted November 20, 2016 Author Posted November 20, 2016 @profootballdoc L thumb interphalangeal joint dislocation @CutonDime25 Bad news: possible bone thru skin Good news: unlikely fracture, good chance next wk
26CornerBlitz Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 @ProFootballTalk Per source, Bills RB LeSean McCoy (dislocated thumb) is expected to play next week.
MDH Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 The guy always seems to be hurt. I understand things happen and much of it can't be controlled but it doesn't change the fact he seems to be hurt more often than not since he put on anBills uni. Its a shame, because when he's healthy he changes the dynamic of the entire offense.
26CornerBlitz Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 @SalSports LeSean McCoy will have surgery on his dislocated thumb tomorrow. Expectation is he plays next week. Not trying to sound funny but it was just the tip of McCoy's thumb. They tried to get it back in but couldn't so have to have the surgery
MAJBobby Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 @SalSports LeSean McCoy will have surgery on his dislocated thumb tomorrow. Expectation is he plays next week. Not trying to sound funny but it was just the tip of McCoy's thumb. They tried to get it back in but couldn't so have to have the surgery Smart because trying to force it back in risk a fracture and then you are talking long term. MG was avg 6.1 on the ground no reason to rush it back this week
26CornerBlitz Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 @ProFootballDoc David J. Chao, MD Retweeted Sal Capaccio Sometimes the tendon is trapped and thumb can't be reduced. Surgery to reduce IP joint. Sounds crazy, but yes @CutonDime25 will play next wk
26CornerBlitz Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 @JaySkurski The #Bills announced that RB LeSean McCoy will need surgery to repair his dislocated left thumb, but that he's expected to play in Week 12.
bigK14094 Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 If no fracture, he might not lose time He already lost 1/2 a game......
Fadingpain Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Is he right handed? Looks like the left thumb is bad; I'm guessing he's right handed and right arm dominant...so some sort of bullet proof thumb protector shouldn't impact how he holds the ball that badly. I assume he'll have something like that on his thumb certainly next week and maybe beyond.
Marv's Neighbor Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Having a thumb injury really sucks!
Bills Fan of St Augustine Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Sounds like a really bad "skiers thumb" Must hurt like hell!
Captain_Quint Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 He already lost 1/2 a game...... Hmm...sounds like grounds for a crusade to me!
Big Turk Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Said he will have surgery to put back in place but not expected to miss time due to no fracture... Damn, football players deal with a lot of stuff that most people never think of, lol...

YoloinOhio Posted November 21, 2016 Author Posted November 21, 2016 @profootballtalk Per source Bills RB LeSean McCoy had a procedure on his thumb and will play Sunday barring something unexpected.
