YoloinOhio Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 @rapsheet Sources: #Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski suffered what is believed to be a punctured lung on Sunday vs. #Seahawks. But could miss just one game.
YoloinOhio Posted November 14, 2016 Author Posted November 14, 2016 I think he will miss more than 1 game
atlbillsfan1975 Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 punctured lung, and one game? something there doesn't line up.
YoloinOhio Posted November 14, 2016 Author Posted November 14, 2016 (edited) @profootballdoc Additional consideration on #Gronk is @Patriots travel to @49ers next. Flying often not allowed early on from punctured lung. #NEvsSF Â Implies rib fracture but not 100% #Gronk @Patriots Edited November 15, 2016 by YoloinOhio
NoSaint Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 punctured lung, and one game? something there doesn't line up. The NFL is a pretty awful league with regards to injuries. I encourage anyone to google the jason Taylor article about playing hurt
DC Tom Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 punctured lung, and one game? something there doesn't line up.  "Punctured lung" can vary widely in severity. And given that he wasn't coughing up blood or gasping for breath from a collapsed lung, it's almost certainly not severe. It's conceivable - just barely - that he could be ready to go in 2 weeks for a very "mild" puncture. The NFL is a pretty awful league with regards to injuries. I encourage anyone to google the jason Taylor article about playing hurt  I just found that article. Taylor played with a central catheter from his armpit to his heart??? How the hell is the man not dead???
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Just put a brace on it, and he'll be ready to roll, I guess.
Saxum Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 punctured lung, and one game? something there doesn't line up. Â Did not say it was a BIG puncture plus they have his brother on practice squad to donate any spare parts he needs.
BringBackFergy Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 If our safeties weighed more than 185 lbs maybe we could have bit him a lil' harder (gonna create a bully my ass).
26CornerBlitz Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 If our safeties weighed more than 185 lbs maybe we could have bit him a lil' harder (gonna create a bully my ass). Â Earl Thomas isn't exactly a monster at 200 lbs.
BringBackFergy Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Â Earl Thomas isn't exactly a monster at 200 lbs. He had a plate of spaghetti parm before the game...210 lbs
26CornerBlitz Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 He had a plate of spaghetti parm before the game...210 lbs  That was before elimination. So it was only 201 lbs by game time.

Captain_Quint Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Â Did not say it was a BIG puncture plus they have his brother on practice squad to donate any spare parts he needs. Billy has already approached little Gronk about 'the ultimate sacrifice'. He has an authentic Nazi surgeon that the Kraft family has been harboring since the 40s to do the dirty work.
KD in CA Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 I must have missed the big hit, but wasn't Gronk on the field till the final play? How'd he keep playing?
Mr. WEO Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Doubt fractured rib as etiology. Lung is likely fully expanded already. Popped a bleb, probably.
